Huh?
Turrets are okay? They give you a huge advantage when it comes to area denial.
Freeze is risky? It’s probably the least risky melee out there.
The super is mint easily shutdown by other supers. You have range and the ability to freeze your opponent. The super is also the best for wall hugging and shooting.
Also, worth adding that arcstaff hard counters the hunter stasis super. Reflecting the storm makes it your own. It’s the worst possible super to throw it at.

Freezing is "risky", because it's an either/or effect. If you don't land your freeze, then you're out of luck. Generally (at least for me), high risk/high reward abilities are not as strong as abilities that deal damage more consistently.
