No. But it will save you as a 1.0+KD player who always loses a 3v1. Only people who want free farms are against freelance.

The only people who are scared of a perm freelance, are those who are so dependent on free wins against solo queue's, that they don't want to have to try for 7 games straight. Talk about inflating a virtual ego. It's also comical how much people care about a game's pvp that has literally no scene. There are no tournaments, no LANs, nothing, yet these weirdo's treat it like such. It's supposed to be a competitive end-game pvp mode. Key buzzword for you drop outs, competitive. That means matches should be close, and you should be matching against opponents of relative equal skill all the way up the ladder to the lighthouse. There are only benefits to implementing a permanent freelance mode. It keeps the To3's matching against To3's, which is a good thing. Then those who are not as familiar with the mode, or don't have dedicated teams, can go into freelance to get an idea of what Trials is. IF they happen to match with people they like, they can reach out and make a team to go into the regular queue. It's a win-win for everyone involved. The only people who are against it, are those who take advantage of solo queue's in the regular queue, and are scared to have to try for the entire card. The best part is, when you try to have a debate with them on this topic, they never can come up with a logical reason why freelance is bad! LOL!!

I’m not against freelance, I watched my kid play and there should be a penalty for sabotage, I lost count of people purposely map jumping. I understand if it’s difficult but come on man don’t disadvantage your team before a shot is fired

As a long time 0.3% k/d tortoise, all I’ve ever wanted was to have a fair fight against players at or around my level (yellow belts). Instead, I face stacked teams of Unbroken (etc.) flea-hopping wannabe ninjas sporting every best weapon types that exist - exclusively available to those Flawless Farmers (PvE / PvP)…-blam!- need better guns to farm ‘white / yellow / orange belts’ with… These are the worst types of ‘Brown / Black belts’ that infest PvP in all its forms within Destiny. Recall the Karate Kid movie(s) and those bad ‘Black belt’ ‘warriors’ - well, same same! Until the PvP system features a tiered, ranked playlist with Divisions to separate white / yellow belts from orange / green belts; blue / brown belts; and black belts - only match other black belts in the Top Division - things will never change. Also, potato-2-potato (P2P) is so outmoded it just adds another layer of ridiculousness to the equation; I don’t want to connect with players on the far side of the galaxy…at best, it should be within the same geographical area, ie, country / region. Cheaters / Recovs / paid carries / etc. are a plague too. There are even booster websites (LFC) that feature (sponsor) on popular U-Tuber vids. With all of the a/m and more, there is no ‘fun’ element in PvP in Destiny. So, as anyone who has studied a martial discipline will know, the first order of business is to weed out the ‘bad’ belts before they progress and cause untold harm to the dojo. Occasionally, one or two might reach the upper ranks - but, sooner or later, they get removed. Unfortunately, Destiny PvP is rife with (very) bad brown / black belts… Personally, I’ve zero hope of reaching the lighthouse, nor does it bother me; I occasionally play Trials to get the armour sets / loot - when / if, circumstances permit; but my patience at being ‘farmed’ only goes so far. ‘Twas ever thus. So, I rarely play - another part of the Destiny game, along with Raids / Dungeons / Master or GrandM NFs - who wants to run 100 runs to get no Vex M - when, like virtually every other ‘must have’ weapon was ‘sunset’…and later - ‘reprised’. FWIW: this ‘tortoise’ has earned just about every fancy exotic weapon in both PvE / PvP …all done solo (mostly). So, the grrrrind is not new to me. It still hasn’t altered my 0.3% k/d since D1Y1. And it doesn’t bother me one jot. All I ever wanted was a fair scrap against others at a similar level - that’s all, nothing more. TLDR: 🤨 Anyhoo, just my 2d worth. Again. Ymmv. Cheers! MDGA 👈

I want to leave this on every PvP post. The toxicity is crazy in these forums. The crucible is a [b][u]CHEESE FEST[/u][/b]. The name of the game is overstacking advantages and utilizing mobility techniques to move your hitbox while pointing n'clicking on heads and spamming abilities. NOT.. .."skill". Theres nothing to be arrogant about. And there's no such thing as being 'bad' at [b]PLAY[/b].

Why are people so upset about a freelance playlist . If someone has a low KD ,and he or she has more fun going against a team of Solo players instead of getting Annihilated by a 3 stack. It doesn’t Affect a team of skilled players going flawless. I don’t think solos should be able to play verse stacks of 3’s ….. there should be 2 playlists 3 stacks and Freelance …

Agree, like I said it should go back to full fireteam entry… why would a 3 stack team want to run though a team of solos . Why put solo players at a disadvantage. For what to inflate the population of the playlist

Uhhhmm why are you attacking players with less time invested into this game with a dead pvp mode again? Not everyone sinks their entire lifetime into this game and has a 52.0 KD, playing with carry streamers all day my guy. It is a non negotiable FACT that playing against any sort of pre-made team as a team of solos, you have a 90 % chance of losing. Solo teams vs solo teams reduce that dumb percentage to a coin flip chance of having a win. Stop arguing against it. The matchmaking can actually balance teams around lower KD players to even teams somewhat for a good amount of the matches while it can't do that against pre-made teams. Freelance is NECESSARY for the enjoyment of solo players. Noone should NEED to learn teamwork to an unhealthy degree just to be allowed to play trials. This is a casual, cheese filled PVE looter shooter with an abandoned pvp mode. Let the casuals have fun too mr. gatekeeper. Your "skill" in this casual pve game does not matter.

You mean freelance trials will not save trials... when freelance trials is activated, team trials is harder with less carries and more stacks and you don't like it when you can't stomp solos. You fear trials going back to how it was before the trials revamp. You need the .40s more than they need to get stomped. Don't forget it.

Yeah but neither will 3 learning solos vs stack of 3 flawless players buddy. Nothing to learn from a stomp. Most players will never improve with the current model and MM of trials so they just leave. It's not as simple as you claim it to be.
