Trials Matchmaking
I may be a terrible PvP player, but I should be playing against other terrible players. My last match was me, my 0.5 K/D, no flawless and 4 W 22 L record along against 1.04 KD 82x Flawless and a 0.97 KD 100x flawless player.
Say what you will about my loadouts, my playstyle, whatever, this is just [i]awful[/i]. There is no way I should be playing against people this skilled.

Trials is the hard core pvp mode. It has never had skill based matchmaking and should never have as it is against the spirt of the game mode. While Bungie has made it easier for players to play Trials and get rewards they will only hold your hand so far. If you want to go to the Lighthouse you have to prove you are worthy by defeating all opposition no matter what skill level they are. No one is forcing you to play Trials. As a wise man once said "if you can not take the heat stay away from the fire". You are walking into Trials expecting a easy win but when you get your butt kicked you start complaining. So improve your skills and loadouts. Do not expect Bungie to make it easy for you.

Why shouldn't you play better players? You're both competing for the same rewards. Also, 1.04 and 0.97 aren't good.

You are complaining about matching a .9 and a 1.0, at a certain point you need to get better.

The matchmaking can’t possibly be that strict to match you with people of near identical stats. I feel like a .97 is more than doable.

In something like comp sure, this is trials it's tornament style matchmaking. Unless you're at game 1 or 6-7 it's complete and total rng who you're gonna fight. Do your best and if you get rolled try and learn from it, what did the enemy do to catch you off guard? Ect

Dont you see it works the same for them too? The best thing for the players to focus on is [i]their performance.[/i] nevermind whom you pair up with until you're comfortable with a set of playstyles so you can switch up on the fly.
