The diehard fans will be the FIRST on line to pay for new content.
While I firmly believe that developers should be paid for their work, I will agree that the cosmetics should've gone straight to Eververse and they could've sold this for $10-$15 without the cosmetics.

They could’ve gave this out for free. Prophecy was free for no reason, why not their anniversary celebration?
-
How s this for an answer.. why should you get their hard work and effort free just because they were kind enough previously to gift it to you?
-
Because that’s kind of how it works? Lmao. How about this: why should I have to spend $25 on a thank you gift from Bungie when I’M the one who’s been supporting THEM?
-
awesome part about your statement.. you don't actually have to spend any money at all. You can still play the free destiny and what you have paid for if you have paid for anything. You can celebrate Bungie without paying for anything.. You can thank me later.. go enjoy the knowledge that has been imparted to you. Spread the love.

No, I don’t have to spend any money. Unless I want the most iconic exotic in the franchise and the dungeon. If I DO want those, I gotta buy a cosmetics pack.
-
weird.. you want something.. they put a price tag on it and you decide if you want to buy it or not.. Capitalism.. such a hard concept.

Because not everything can be free. Like it or not, Bungie still has a huge staff that work and need to get paid. No matter how many millions they make off Eververse and content they need to pay a living wage.
