This entire season has made this class an absolute joke! Just equip a mod and a grenade launcher and you have the buff abilities that a whole super has! I understand mot wanting to buff it because of it being actually useful and everything but please! A perfect way you could do it also would be to let the star eater scales increase the buff of the weapons when tethered! It confuses me that they don’t do anything for too tree whatsoever! I’m not saying all the other abilities of a hunter are already great and I just need to shut up I’m saying as a heavy support type person it would be really nice to be able to use a top tree nightstalker and be more important then a simple mod please and thank you:)

Nah, it’s fine. Used it in last weeks GMs. It’s my go to for higher level nightfalls because I use 100 mobility and the dodge makes you invis. Also, unlike what breach and clear does, if there is a whole group of adds, you just shoot it in the middle and makes it way easier to kill all of them. Especially in GMs where everything can and will kill you, that’s definitely good

Side not to a buff some have mentioned is increasing the orbs when using tether! If you read the lord then play with top tree it doesn’t feel like it’s power is at it’s best possible potential! And yes it is decent for add clear but I can use stasis or better arcstrider if I’m going to do that!

3 RespostasTop tree is still great. Just use the tether for add control. Saving your Tether for the boss is a complete waste with the seasonal artifact mods.

Bungie did a number nerfing top tree nightstalker in y1. There's quite a few quality of life changes that it needs; smoke's proximity duration increased, instant activation of tethers when shadow shot hits, increase movement speed while crouched. Even removing the super energy cap on O-Rigs would greatly boost the subclass in pve.

It should last longer, deal more direct hit damage and activate faster. These are the only problems Ive found with top tree night stalker. Everything else about the class is really good.

I will say Orpheus rigs are still pretty good on top tree I just wish it would activate quicker and keep targets that escape the tether suppressed.

Finally! Someone else who thinks the same. Tether is useless and has been ever since the damage mods came out and even since divinity became a thing. Using tether for add clear is stupid unless you are doing an encounter were there is just an OVERWHELMING number of ads. It also stupid due to why would you need a damage buff against a sea of weak to moderate ads. Its a waste of a buff! Otherwise there are weapons such as salvo that do a fantastic job and you can keep your super usage to a CN GG for burst dps on any given boss battle.
