My friends and I are constantly frustrated by this issue (on the PS4/PS5 version, at least; not sure about PC). If I'm aiming at someone and blowing him away (player or enemy, whatever), and another target briefly cuts in front (or really, it seems, anywhere near) my line of fire, the aim automatically tracks the new target. This ends up causing me to spread my fire among multiple targets, inevitably letting all of them live while I get blown away. Better to at least let me keep my fire concentrated on my one original target before allowing the aim to get dragged to a different target.
Believe me, I appreciate the aim assist, considering how impossible it is for me to get fine grained control of such things with a PS4 controller. I just really can't stand this aspect of it. I'm sure there are cases where the current behavior makes sense, but I think it needs some work.

This stuff has always been an issue with aim assist

I have hated this for as long as it has been a thing. Makes me not want to run a Warmind build because if it drops in a group, I often can’t hit it because every enemy takes me away from aiming at it. I’ve literally died trying to hit it. If it can’t be turned off, it needs to be reworked for prioritizing something, anything, so that we have more control over it. It’s one of the most annoying things about the game.

This is why I wish we could disable this part of AA

1 ResponderIt's been an issue since day 1 Destiny 1. Bungies ignorance on this one takes some beating they are well aware that a lot of players absolutely hate it and we've been asking for a toggle option in settings, but for reasons unknown (crucible) they refuse to acknowledge that players are complaining about it. head - sand

2 RespostasThere is no auto aim thats target assist. The one weakness of aim assist on a controller is that is coupled with target assist which can badly throw off your shots especially in 2v1s.

I don’t have anything unique to add other than another player saying “yes, this is incredibly annoying”.

2 RespostasSame on Xbox. As if we need God damn aim assist. Like it's 2021 not 1990 anymore.

Eyepatch skull?

1 ResponderEditado por Mareep: 6/19/2021 7:15:23 PMI still want an option to turn it off That or I want a reduction to aim assist across the board
-
I feel this it is super anoying the game should only teach the person you dealt damage to first or the one who is damaging you
-
been saying this for a long time. aim assist is too strong. needs to be snap to target and done. not this always on thing it is now.
-
Can we also talk about sword /3rd person melee tracking? I can't tell you how often I hold forward to swing at a boss and do a full 180 to hit the guy behind me instead

3 RespostasAh remember back in D1 when u could turn it off. Yeah great times for skilled players
