Wow, zero upvotes. People are jerks!
There's no reason why old armor, shaders, or season pass ornaments can't be tied to a grind for people who didn't play during the time these items were relevant. Hell, Bungie could put them in Eververse - like they tend to do.
EDIT: disregard "old armor"
EDIT 2: I'm referring to old playlist shaders, obviously giving away shaders earned from challenging activities is a big 'no'.
When I mention season pass ornaments, if you buy the season pass and couldn't grind all the ornaments that's one thing. I don't think there would be an issue if there was a quest for people to finish their grind and earn the ornaments that way.
The mention of Eververse is jab toward Bungie.

Man, I hope they put the solo flawless emblems and flawless raid shaders in the eververse one season.
-
That's not the kind I'm referring to...
-
People are mean for working hard for their loot and expecting their investment is respected.
-
Editado por Ranthop_II: 6/9/2021 11:28:47 PMI'm with you, time should be respected. Would it be wrong to reintroduce a shader with a grind equal in difficulty to the initial grind? When done right past investment can be respected while requiring players, who missed out, to undertake a similar grind.
-
It also devalues memories. Loot should remain exclusive to the time to give everyone who was there a sense of pride.
-
Devalues memories? Weapons and armor, okay sure. How many memories do you actually hold from most shaders. I'm referring to the playlist shaders you got for Crucible, Vanguard, Iron Banner. This push back for simple shaders is nuts to me.
-
Explain how you need it.

Editado por Ranthop_II: 6/12/2021 12:32:30 PMThere are small number of shaders I did miss. I would simply appreciate the chance to grind for them again. Do I need these shaders, no. That's the short answer. ****** It's not so much a case of want or need, at least in my case, more of a simple "why". Why should shaders, from playlists like Iron Banner etc, be exclusive? Bungie simply wants another reason for people to tune into their game. Was there a remarkable accomplishment that justifies their "rarity"? In regards to Crucible, Vangaurd, Gambit, and Iron Banner, no. You played the activities at the time. I agree that certain shaders should remain exclusive. Vaulted content and the shaders tied to those activities, I have no issue here (after all they are vaulted). Challenging content that has shaders tied to triumphs, again no issue here. Special events are not an issue for me either, because they will come back (minus Crimson Days, Faction Rally and Queen's Wrath, these are gone). Trials of the Nine required more effort than other activities during its time, so I have no issue. Also if we're going to insist on shaders being comparable to actual loot, what about the weapons and armor that persist past their respected season? Side Note: I wish Flawless Raid completions offered a more physical reward for you, the offering of a shader is lack luster. I am going to run these raids for the challenge anyway. I just question Bungie's idea of a reward. Now to your credit, one should have pride in THESE particular shaders. The one similarity is that both types of shaders will remain in the game as long as the activity or season persists. All things considered the value and rarity of playlist shaders are cheap. What stops Bungie from reinserting these playlist shaders back into Destiny 2, their own questionable philosophy as well as the people who will defend it. That's the long answer.

I see your point. I agree.
-
Or you could have earned them when they were available. 🤷♂️

I recently read a post about a person who was on deployment for 11 months, wondering if there was any way to earn the items we have now. What's wrong with giving people like this a chance to earn what they missed out on?
-
Occupational requirements have no barring on Bungie, people know what they’re getting into with jobs like that.
-
No matter the reason for not playing it's a personal issue only. Weren't there for it, didn't try for it, or whatever doesn't matter. It's the past and a marker of those who did play at those times.
-
Sorry, but I don't understand that mentality. For the record I have been playing, I'm fortunate enough to have played during all the seasons. I have all the ornaments I want, and I WILLINGLY passed on buying old Eververse ornaments for Bright Dust. That's the thing. People who missed out, likely, had zero choice in the matter. They want the chance to at least grind for these items, because they weren't able to play at the time. What is wrong with that? Why does it matter to you?
-
The Destiny community has to feel “special”. They love keeping others from having a shader, emblem or even weapon 🤷♂️

It’s because the the game changes over time. For example, we earned our leviathan shaders back when there were double primaries crouching behind rally barricades with using Sins of the Past and Curtain Call. Doing it now, if that raid came back, would be completely different. We move faster, have different powers and supers, have random rolls, etc... I guess it kinda states that we were there and we did those things at those times. I understand the example of the guy on deployment, and agree that this is unfortunate, but I don’t think that applies in most cases, and most of those shaders are really not that great anyway.
-
See i think raid shaders should stick to said raids. But things like basic pvp, gambit, and vangaurd shaders shouldnt be lost forever. Flawless shaders amd emblems should never come back though as that took a huge requirement.
-
Yeah I don’t see any reason the pvp shaders should not come back, or rotate as rare drops a few seasons later.
-
It would make sense for them to.
