When it first came out, yeah the super was broken but Bungie completely killed it. Then people realized the neutral game wasn't too shabby, and Handheld Supernova became pretty popular. It needed a nerf, but instead of some slight adjustments they beat it into the ground again. Now it's a shell of it's former self and pretty garbage (Yes, I know there are people out there who love it but there is no reason to use it over Shadebinder or Chaos Reach). I have a few suggestions....
Nova Warp
Blinking no longer costs energy.
A fully charged blast can kill a roaming super in one hit.
Maybe add a second or two to the super time.
Handheld Supernova
REMOVE self damage (I literally have no idea why this is even a thing)
Lower charge time by .5 seconds.

I mean handheld supernova is a grenade ability.. it's a vortex of exploding void energy, why wouldn't that do self damage? As for the super, you're right, definitely needs some attention. Less super cost for blinking and a quicker charge time might go a long way, or maybe even some damage resistance with a full charge.

Truth is that it's not just nova bomb. Anything warlocks have or get seems to be nerfed quite quickly. But titan and hunter overpowering seems to take forever to nerf. Bungie just hates warlocks. Just look at the stasis. Titans and hunters get great stasis and warlocks got crap stasis. Chaos reach was the same for a year then when people start using it because they killed everything else. They nerf it right away.

Editado por Infamous067: 4/5/2021 3:46:41 PMI personally think the super simply needs a faster charge time, I’m dead before I can full charge the attack. Other than that I feel the super itself is fine, you can kill any super with a full charge followed by a light attack. If handhelds are going to take so long to charge, I see no reason why we cant hold the charge indefinitely. Top tree void can hold an overcharge grenade for what feels like forever and I’m totally fine with the charge time. Self damage also makes no sense, that needs to go away. I feel the spread of the handheld grenades needs to be even tighter but increase their range a bit so players feel like it takes a slight amount of skill to get hand held kills and dying to them wont feel cheap. Before anyone says dying to hand helds is cheap in the first place, lets not forget titans get a shoulder charge on every single subclass and hunters have throwing knifes or other forms of getting easy free kills without any thought.

2 RespostasBlink should cost some supper energy, but not too much. I would like to avoid another “behemoth team wipe from both tides of the map because of its mobility.”

Couldn’t agree more. It drives me crazy many times warlock supers have been nerfed. Warlocks have no edge over any of the other classes super. Nova Bomb is practically useless, especially when it’s thrown in PvP, either it’s so slow opponents are able to simply run away from it, or (which is more infuriating) it’s easily destroyed. A Titans hammer or Hunters golden gun pop it like a bubble and then it’s guardian down.

5 RespostasFun fact. Revenant’s Silence and Squall does more damage over time then Warlock’s Vortex bomb. Err, somebody wanna explain that?

The entire voidwalker subclass needs a look. The only reason people run voidwalker these days is devour lol. But I agree 100% Nova Warp needs a buff. Especially in regards to the self-damaging handheld supernova and how it costs super energy to teleport 🤦♂️ like honestly bro wth

1 ResponderThis Super fails because of charge time, and you suggest a fix is to increase it by 2 secs? Downvoted.
