Gambit Invader IMBALANCE!!!!!!
Like most people chasing gilded Dredgen I have been playing (and losing) a lot of Gambit. Most of the time it is because the enemy team can invade our side when we are 60 motes short of a primeval and they have already summoned theirs. Why is this allowed? Gambit is just a competition of who can steamroll the best and has lost all semblance of fun and competition.
Please address this.

I notice too many are trying for 15. Big mistake! And not dumping motes before invading. I think there's folks that don't know invader spawn points and the rotation, too.

2 RespostasBecause Gambit is now a game of the first to 25 imo. Teams that lose typically are the ones all trying to bank 15 motes at once instead of focusing on the invade to tear the enemy team a new one before they can do it to you.

Imo they need to rework the invasions.. 1) the invader stays until they get 4 kills or your team kills them (I mean it's a 1v4.. it shouldnt reward running and hiding for 30 seconds) that said brings me to 2) invader should only have wall jacks for 5 seconds apon invading (to locate targets) then 2.5 seconds more per kill (again to locate targets) 3) while iam fine with the health of the invader and over shield I think the glowing red aura and the burning sound makes them too easy to locate.. and needs to go!!! 4) lastly I think that heavy needs to become more limited... on both sides.. would help with eliminating boss melts

Learn invader spawn points and kill the invader. They glow red so easy to spot.

9 Respostasthe only things unbalanced are lobby matchmaking and catchup mechanics. solutions. remove catchup mechanics. better lobby balancing , including removing the "fireteam handicap".

2 RespostasIf your team is 60 behind, the invader during their prime evil isn’t your problem. Either your team is dying to regular enemies too much, or the early game invader(s) are what crippled your team. You lost too many motes. Gambit could use some tweaking here and there. The two things that would need to be kept in mind with any tweaking is keeping the feel/spirit of Gambit intact. You shouldn’t eliminate or nerf invading into obsolescence. And you shouldn’t levy a heavy punishment on the leading team just to give a losing team a chance to catch up. I was far more fond of the Gambit Prime method of prime Evil stages. I liked the flow better. And because you didn’t keep getting stacks of envoy damage getting killed during this stage was more of a set back. Invading made more of a difference. One thing they can do about Invading is make it so the same player cannot invade back to back. They have to alternate with at least one other team member. Unless your team is behind and the opposing team has their prime evil. Then the same person can invade back to back when the portal opens. This will do two things. Keep a bad player from constantly hogging the portal, and keep a single very good player from just dunking on the opposing team over and over.

If my team spawns our primeval first, we shouldn't be bombarded by blockers and invasions. That's the biggest flaw in Gambit.

9 RespostasAs long as your team is still collecting motes, the enemy team should still be able to invade to stop you. Even if they have a primeval up or not. I don’t see the problem.

If your team summons the Primeval before the other team, you should lose all your invasions until they get theirs up. No more saving your invasions until you get your PE up, even though it is a smart strategy. As I have said before, invasions are 99% of the time, the best win strategy. That alone makes the game mode terrible for me. Even though I'm a decent Invader, I hate it. It's just cheap that they can see through walls and have an overshield.

It’s better than it used to be. Queensbreaker and Sleeper days kinda sucked, now people use a wide variety which it much better. I kill my invaders with a seventh seraph saw, with Vorpal weapon. Give that a shot.

Its a 4v1 you should be able to do something. And also if you are 60motes late your teal is probably trash considering it just means you did something wrong at the start

If they're invading after they summoned a prime evil it's because they didn't use all the invades they get to that point. So pay attention too that. If you're team is dragging that far behind on mote banking and add slaying then they will save the invades to just mess with you while they damage the prime evil. It's a strategy to help them combat against you when your team will get a new invade without even banking motes every I think it's 30 seconds, can't be sure just because they have a prime evil up.

I agree that invasions can be a bit much.. that's when you need to see out invadersinstesd of hiding.. gambits easy usually ye first one to invade wins.. so dont bank until you've cleared the first 2 ad spawns

Is nothing new since gambit was launched. Bungie won’t bother with it. It’s best to stop playing and treat this game like anthem.

So I got gilded today and I counted up and have 73 total gambit games this season and this is the advice I would give you. My load out I usually use is heritage, trustee and the heavy can vary but I never use any of the cheese options (xeno, eyes, truth). I have recently been using nights watch and salvagers though as I wanted grenade kills. So... Get good at invading and know when to invade. As someone pointed out getting that first invade in can be huge. Be willing to let team mates get to get some motes to send a big blocker so when you do invade the enemy can't just clear it and bank before you get eyes on them. Have something to clear blockers. This is what heritage is for. I always make sure I have some ammo in it and with major spec on it will only take a few shots to kill a big blocker. When the enemy is invading if you have alot of motes hide. If you don't go seek them out. If it is primeval phase and the primeval is low on health hide. If it is full health go seek the invader out. If they have sent blockers over and are draining the bank then rush the blockers if you are low on motes. There's probably some more stuff I do without realising and I'm sure others can add stuff onto this
