I'm currently running a 6900xt [AMDs best gaming gpu, currently], and getting massive frame hits in specific areas.
One particular area that comes to mind is Tangled Shore, where I can see frames get down to 40.
Other notable areas are: most patrol zones, bray exoscience, and just any general open areas.
In some story mission areas I get a constant 144fps, which seems how the game should run in most areas.
I know this has to be an optimization issue FOR SURE, but are nvidia users getting hit this hard? Anyone with a 3090, what are your frames like in Tangled Shore? Has Bungie shed any light on these huge optimization issues since Beyond Light release?
My specs:
6900xt gpu
5600x cpu
16gb ddr4 3600 ram
1440p monitor, 144hz

1 ResponderFirst of all, HOW THE HELL DID YOU FIND A 5600x AND A 6900t??? Second, that is interesting, I have a 1080 and don't experience frame drops. I heard a few others having this issue round Beyond Light's launch, but I thought Bungie fixed it. Hope you get the issue resolved in the near future.

You should not be having any issues with that rig. You may want to check and make sure you have not missed an update for your driver. Open up your GeForce Experience and see if you are on the most current driver. Hope this helps.

1 ResponderI only had that problem at BK launch...once I verified game files and updated my driver I haven't had the problem since. I did play with someone who was having that issue because their game was on windowed or something and they changed it to fullscreen and it never happened since so idk 😮
