Ever since you took the skill based matchmaking away the game has lost its fun factor. I don't understand why it was necessary to remove that from crucible. I am not a great player by any stretch of the imagination but I to some degree could at least compete in crucible prior to this season. Now I find myself dead before I can turn corners and that is not fun. People will say "Well get better." I can't get better when I am dead before I can even pull my trigger. Playing against highly skilled players does not make a person a better player. I don't care about being that good at this game. What I do care about is having fun playing your game and being able to compete against other players that are close to my skill level and to some degree enjoying it. I won't always have fun but at least I would like to know that I was beaten by someone like me. I can only hope that you will see that this is not healthy if you want to bring people into the game and keep them. If this continues with the next expansion and following seasons then I will not be playing much longer.

Or you could save yourself some trouble and not play crucible. There's always some public events on the EDZ! But I wouldn't recommend the Nessus ones, they might be too hard for you....
-
Let me fix your post for you. I suck at PvP therefore make it easy for me, I don’t want to put it the time to git gud because I’m a casual so I expect everyone else to also be one.

1 ResponderI genuinely love how all the complaints these people have against CBMM are literally the exact same shit we dealt with when SBMM was on so thick. CBMM or SBMM to me has always been the same. *Your team either stomps or gets stomped. *Half your team are brain dead dolts and the enemy team is on next level top tier adderal. *The consistency of your bullets will flip 50/50 throughout the match where you can go from dropping people like clockwork to spilling 60 rounds into a person's face just to have them kill you like nothing even happened. *Everyone runs the same 3 meta garbage guns and subclasses *Lag lag lag the lag is God awful *Getting killed behind walls, through walls, off of spawn, mercy, error codes and more lag. *The "lol my auto rifle goes brrrr and it get kills" guy. Lone ranger shotgun rusher with a 50k+ kills Mindbender or Felwinter who slides on his ass so much his armor has completely worn down to the point you can actually see is worn out ass cheeks. That degenerate Bastion guy. Team Only use Mountain Top. The "lol the game aims for me" Revoker dude. The only difference I've seen with CBMM is that I got an odd ball here and there using guns I haven't seen in ages. Saw a dude running Sturm and Drang and saw another running Mida and Uriel's. Blast from the last eh?

1 ResponderNo way taking sbmm out made the game so much more fun practise in private matches and learn the maps why do you think iron banner was so popular

Editado por illz: 8/14/2020 4:02:54 AMCbmm = amazing It is filled with average players and a smaller mix of good and bad. They have a strong team balancing mechanic. It may seem off if you barely play pvp but it does not take long to adjust and learn from fundamental errors. You say you keep dying? Its because sbmm never punished you for bad positioning. You will grow and compete at a nicer level in cbmm. Sweats are uncommon, average players are more common. Source: 40,000 kills this season, 190,000 over all in pvp

It wasn't fun when I was punished for being good. I literally "got good" when it wasn't SBMM and I was learning to counter harder neckbeard playstyles. In SBMM I had the illusion I was good then when I got taken back into something like trials it was a rude awakening. I prefer this matchmaking honestly- it forces you out of your comfort zone. It forces you to focus on aspects of your game to get better at each and overall become a better player With SBMM you will simply dominate that lobby and not truly learn anything. Also it sucked not being able to play with friends of lower skill. They legit got pub stomped each time from the other team and I would pull even or a 1.8-2.0. That is literally how they DO NOT learn. In this matchmaking you get a mixture at least- so it gives you opportunities to learn and opportunities to dominate. You cannot win ever darn fight- but you can win most of them.

I would settle for good connections and consistency.... hahahah lol lol.... ok, now that we all had a good laugh I'm serious..... I want better connections and more consistent outcomes, shouldn't take an entire clip one game to kill someone and 3 hits the next game.

46 RespostasIt's all because Streamers cried so hard, that they have to sweat every match. Now we must suffer because bungies money was in peril. If streamers leave players follow and that hurts bungie somehow. So removing SBMM to "help connectivity" is a lie. As Bungie does on the regular anymore. SBMM was removed because Twitch and Youtube players didn't like sweats every match. What bungie needs is a total revamp of PvP in general. PvP needs two mode, ranked and unranked ranked for sweats(trials/comp) with SBMM unranked for fun. (QP) SBMM no points or anything Ranked matches should default loadouts to being only white level gear, no supers, no abilities. True Skill.

Editado por TJ_Dot: 8/13/2020 10:18:54 PMHarsh Truth: You're not entitled to one matchmaking to satisfy yourself at the expense of others If you want a smaller skill gap OPTION so that you may not deal with semi-skilled players, then ask for that, an OPTION. Because blindly asking SBMM back perpetuates the endless cycle of players fighting over selfish desires instead of coming to an actual solution. Consider Preferences from Halo, something that allowed everyone to prioritize how their MM searched for players. It is harmonious and would be far better than "Bring SBMM back". This is called a compromise, one no one suffers from.
-
I'm so sick of the way this discussion always plays out on here. Going all in on SBMM or CBMM is always a bad stance to take because either position is selfish in some regard. Making some playlists SBMM and some playlists CBMM is just a band-aid fix to larger problems with this binary system. You want to talk about changes that will meaningfully improve the matchmaking experience? How about outlier protection? Fireteam vs Fireteam weighting? Individual matchmaking preference options? (something that Bungie was doing in Halo: Reach, a game that is now almost 10 years old.)

25 RespostasYou're right. PvP is not fun anymore. Why? 1. Loot hasn't been updated in 2 years; 2. Auto metas blow (personal opinon); 3. 140 and 110 RPM HCs and scouts need a buff, as well as other archetypes (objective fact); 4. You can do everything right and be faster than your opponent and land the first shot, and still get your head taken off by their sniper rifle; and 5. Teams matching solos. Especially those pathetic stacks that haven't solo queued in months, if ever. THOSE are the issues, not SBMM. Fact is CBMM made more people come back to PvP and stay in PvP. However, there does need to be improvements in the matchmaking department. Teams vs teams is a big one, and outlier protection might be nice too. Another idea would be a sytem that evaluates both skill and connection, but allows the player to choose the priority at which they are evaluated. So a player's potential pool of players would not be limited to players that made the same choice as they did.

It was never fun

7 RespostasEditado por Touch: 8/13/2020 4:44:02 AMNobody is ever going to agree on this subject and most are too big of internet as*holes to admit it. I'd personally prefer to play people on my skill level regardless of the playlist. It's a game, not some PVP playoffs where money is at stake. There are zero legitimate reasons anyone should have to "get good" to play a video game for fun. Not one. If people want a ranked playlist they should be asking for one instead of being d*cks to people who aren't interested in anything like that. But this is the Destiny forum in all its glory so buckle up, it's a wild ride. It's pretty clear that ole Smith is gonna do as he pleases and nobody will stand in his way. The game itself is functioning poorly on its foundation anyway. Who knows what'll happen to it this next Fall. For instance, amd I'm on xbox btw, dismounting a sparrow in certain locations is X, others X doesnt work, and it's A. Lol, good luck out there.

Pvp became way better with cbmm. Just start playing survival or elimination
-
honestly, I don't like either, I noticed how Bungie has a problem finding a middle ground. I hate sbmm because it's to tight but cbmm puts me with more 6 stacks. so bungie shold hhonestly put in a mix of both.
-
Play survival, sbmm is there.

5 RespostasAs much as I respect your opinion and I truly do , let me highlight something that rarely gets addressed . The reason players that naturally consider themselves “Average “ or slightly below are upset with CBMM is that some of their belief in theirselves get shattered or at least cracked . They say all they want to do is have fun and enjoy the PvP experience but what they are really saying is they want to be able to compete against their peers . Think about that for a moment . It is fun to you because every now and then you are able to one up another player, finish at the top of the Leader board, or look at the end screen and see a ridiculous K/D with your name next to it . The same things that drives you , drives everyone else . Now, if you can accept your level of fun is correlated with your ability to compete , then you can understand where other players that are just slightly better than you fall and so on and so forth . I never found it derogatory to tell another player to concentrate on getting better if their ultimate goal is to have fun competing against their peers. I would never use “Get Gud” though. You want to be competitive , so be competitive . A lot of unknown players are just as good as some of the PvP streamers . They want to compete just as you do , they just want it more . Get in there and take your lumps against better competitors . You will get better and you will have just as much fun . The only difference is that you know you held up against players that normally would have steamrolled you weeks earlier . That is my pep talk for today . Average players for the win !!!!

2 RespostasThe only thing "not healthy" are the participation trophies and safe spaces you must have got as a kid You are NOT entitled to a separate pvp que in casual modes, you are NOT entitled to success at pvp because you bought the game, you earn it like every single better player did. Sbmm was killing the game and had been for a year, you don't get better with that type of mm - you stagnate or worse, derank. It's far better as is
-
Look at the stat distribution across all 3 of your characters dude. You can't go into the crucible with that sort of gear and expect to have fun. You could probably do strikes and patrols but in PvP you're gonna get farmed.
-
My personal experience as basically a 1.0 player who started out D2 as about a 1.5 but didn’t play crucible enough to keep that through mountaintop/recluse/other grinds where I got trashed being ‘that guy’ ... I see more connection based problems this season than I did the last two seasons (ie packet loss/connection issues that lets people tank rockets, shotguns point blank, disappear into a map element, etc) on console. Higher skill players talk about not wanting to sweat but I still see a lot of people play with sweat tactics and loadouts often but I think they don’t feel like they are sweating because the lower skilled/experienced players don’t know how to challenge them... lower skilled get frustrated and quit and so the ‘sweat’ window moves up and QP Control becomes more sweaty. The problem with PvP (IMO) is the pendulum swings wildly in context to people’s experience everytime Bungie’s tries to adjust something. I personally think the Crucible hopper screen needs revamping and that QP Control needs to be SBMM because it’s the entry point for the objective based modes that the majority of Destiny PvP entails.

2 Respostas100000% agree with every word you wrote. if sbmm dosent return to 6v6 by beyond light , i wont be playing much longer either.
-
20 RespostasBro, hate to break it to you, but your stats are up from seasons where there was SBMM .. so.. nice Facts vs feelings

1 ResponderI wonder if its the new coke thing. They can't improve PVP, so make things suck for a while then when they switch it back it will seem like an improvement? I'm not having fun either. Sometimes I enjoy playing better players to try and learn from them, but trying to complete bounties is a bit of a nightmare. IB for instance I can still get through most of the bounties in an evening after work, but it's not fun. I basically have to use one hit weapon to get kills now rather than the weapons I want to use. I've been trying to do my weekly bounties for the bright dust, but it's pretty miserable for the most part. If people are enjoying it then let them have fun for a while.
-
So my observation.... it’s difficult to screw around and use different weapons. It’s easy to get we rans and have between a 3-7 kda using actual weapons. That said iron banner was probably not a fun experience for the vast majority of players. I personally much preferred the previous match making settings on average as it allowed for some wiggle room in how I want to play.

Editado por IAGNRG: 8/13/2020 6:18:59 PMThe argument “I can’t get better because the opponents are better than me” is very flawed. Going up against challenging opponents is how you really get better. See what they do, see how they move, how they shoot, what they run, and then emulate it. OR apply the parts you can to your loadout/play style. You like distance? Learn their peak strats. Rushing? Learn how to move with a shotgun or the like. Learn from those who are better than you and practice until you can do it too. I cannot understand this argument
ThE pOsT iS aBoUt EnJoYmEnT Cool, I enjoy this game by doing the above. You don’t? Then I think pvp in any game is not what you should be doing.
