D2 will be a collection game?
That it’s on Bungie to determine how to make your 10th Better Devils different then your 1st?
This statement was made back in Yr1 of D2 so you New Light players might not have heard it before.
The statement was made because in Yr1 of D2 all weapons contained fixed rolls. There wasn’t any random rolls to chase. Once you had a Better Devils you were done.
A mass player exodus from D2Y1 quickly followed and Bungie introduced random rolls to bring players back with the introduction of the Forsaken DLC.
If we look at the changes to the game since the Forsaken DLC to the present day does anyone truly believe the game has become more fun to play?
If we look to the future with our old weapons and armour being phased out can we honestly believe that the replacements will be better than what we have at this time?
Another mass player exodus is coming this Fall.

30 RespostasIt happened it taken king. If TTK can sunset weapons like gjallarhorn and fate-bringer and be considered the “best expansion in Destiny history” then they can do it in the future seasons and be just fine. Regardless the player base is active account to Destiny Tracker, and I highly doubt more than maybe 5% of the whiniest actually quit. Most people will just complain then play the game like normal when it actually hits. Just like they did it Taken King.

The 10th Better Devils will be different than the first by the different icon in the corner, they'll sunset that and then oh look here comes the new and improved 11th Better Devils To me i just find it funny how every year bungie finds a way to make the previous years armour sets obsolete

1 ResponderThe last thing we wanted was for you to look at your favorite gun or helmet and decide that it had become obsolete...the time you invested in your stuff should be respected. -Bungie, 2014.

4 RespostasLuke is a liar, like many of the devs here.

4 RespostasRemember when he said they broke their own rules? It was particularly well of radiance. When was well introduced? Foresaken... Why did they give us another skill tree? Because player base was at an all time low and they needed something big (like rules breaking big) to get us to forget "Two Tokens and a blue". What else did they do in Forsaken? Gave us OP gear and tedious quest steps to grind through to get them. Why did they do that? Well they wanted to keep players playing so they had to make damn sure that the item being offered was worth it. Maybe that was a mistake to give us those OP weapons? No it wasn't. They even touted them on social media showing how OP they were going to be. So now what? They're doing a course correction after they did a drastic overhaul. Basically undoing things they did to get us to come back, because they are stuck and cant come up with creative ways to challenge players. Is that bad? It's bad because they used a cheap tactic to quickly get players back and now they're trying to dig themselves out of a hole that they originally dug themselves when they listed to Luke Smith in the first place. Static rolls, dual primaries, lack of meaningful content and rewards to go with them, was the calling card of y1.

2 RespostasThey could say anything to make suckers fall back and buy this crap. Sad part is, it worked. And people literally bought the same game again. And the same steps are happening again.

Remember when Luke said we would "Wear Oryx's ass as a hat." I'm surprised everyone didn't stop playing right there.
