It find morbidly fascinating. Imagine what it would look like fighting against Guardians.
Health in most games is just game magic and that’s cool, shooters especially.
Destiny has an actual lore reason for our regeneration, our Ghosts. We saw it in the Red War and in Caydes final scene.
We take a beating while fighting then get a heal from our Ghosts or a resurrection if we die. Our bodies take damage like normal, watching Caydes final scene.
A key difference is that in the Red War when we had no Light while critical, we could barely walk. Cayde was able to still fight while critical. The Light allows us to keep fighting despite our wounds.
Kinda like an insane pain suppression.
So imagine what our fire fights really looks like. Us getting cut to ribbons, blood and circuits everywhere, bodies getting vaporized, limbs melted off.
But we just keep coming. We fight wounded, only taking cover when it’s critical. Which would be like getting hit with a blast and losing a limb.
Then roll out mere seconds later whole, doing it all over again.
Makes you wonder though. If other Guardians fight like Ana and Zavala did, no wonder we stand out so much. They are scared to get hurt. Despite being able to be healed or revived.
Kinda cowardly if you ask me. There was no reason they couldn’t of stopped the Cabal.
I dunno. Just a random thought. Seems like a super power in and of itself.
