There HAS to be for the sake of the franchise. D2 is still running on an extremely outdated game engine, D2 is already too big as well, and a lot of this game is currently broken beyond repair.

Yea, D3 absolutely isn’t going to happen. Bungie can barely get out content rn, what makes you think they have the time and resources for another full-fledged game?

I don't know with everything they got on their plate, because what you're suggesting it doesn't seem logical with how little of a studio they are. This would mean they have 4 projects going at once. The first game The New IP This game and your suggesting they are working on D3. It doesn't add up.

They need to end D2 and make D3 for the next gen consoles. It’s also possible that matter is D3.
