This is coming from someone who loves auto rifles. The question is, how do you nerf a weapon that has zero damage falloff? I understand that the screen shake kept this weapon controlled, but now people just spam it because it bounces around walls.

1 ResponderIf I face a team of three hard lights, then I force them to face a team of 3 mountaintops. There are so many counters to hardlight spam. Yes it’s annoying but can be countered.

3 RespostasHardlight needs a nerf bud, there’s nothing you could say to change my mind about it. I think a significant mag size reduction would be the right call. I’d say drop it from 49 down to 30 or less.

They need to replace ricochet rounds with another perk, maybe overflow or swashbuckler, kill clip, anything but that spamming shit. It takes no skill to use.

7 RespostasI can get behind a nerf to ONLY Hard Light. No other autos. Hard Light is literally an auto without limits. Doesn't need constant line of sight. 100 stability. 100 aim assist. 100 recoil direction. 49 rounds in the mag (well above average for a 600 RPM). No damage falloff. Aim assist active past 35 meters. Like come on. Let's be real here people.

2 RespostasIf they nerf it even a little then we're back to the same old meta we've had for 2+ years. Honestly, it's a nice change of pace. At least you don't have to grind 5000 kills in crucible to get this one.

5 RespostasHardlight is like pre-nerf AoS. It has too much utility accomplishing more than a standard exotic weapon. I'd say the ricochet rounds dmg should be nerfed along with the damage fall off.

8 RespostasIt doesn't need a full on nerf. It's nice to see auto rifles back and doing good. But, I will say that they do need some rebalancing. Just like luna's/NF and other top meta's , hard light is in just about every pvp match. And if not hard light, its suros.

8 RespostasI think it's super refreshing that autos are meta, I just would like to see some variety in loadouts. Everyone is just using the exotics, Suros and HL. There's a lot of autos that WRECK now. The Galliard-42 XN7568 from the forges is freaking nasty with quickdraw and kill clip. Gnawing Hunger is a monster. Valakadyn melts now. It's just annoying that everyone is spamming HL when there's so many options to use.

It's finally good to use. I don't care what they do to the weapon in PvP - they can turn it into a plant you throw at people, for all I care - as long as they don't ever touch it in a negative direction for PvE!

It needs the richocet damage perk decreasing. Team Spamming bullets down a lane allowing richocet to do the job is not fun, theres no skill involved.

7 RespostasHard Light will be nerfed it’s only a matter of time. Enjoy how fun the gun is to use while you can. I look forward to your next nerf post, when the new meta emerges. Players like you should seriously go play another PVP game and quit trying to change Destiny into a “balanced” one. What set Destiny apart from all others is the fact that it wasn’t balanced. Halo should work for you. Go play that.

7 RespostasI don't get why everyone is so pissed about it. It's like Spam-Rations, good but not invincible. Just a new meta, deal with it. We've had Hand Cannons. Now it's autos, maybe next time it'll be SMG's. Who cares? 1) It's easy to counter Hard Light. Don't walk into the beams, as people have a tendency to telegraph position by prefireing. 2) When you are around corners and you KNOW a Hard Light user is right there, maybe back up some more....? You know, since they can still get you...? 3) The range is a non-factor (on console atleast). If you engage me with Hard Light at a distance, I WILL SNIPE YOU. 4) Try SUROS Regime.... Use spinning up :)

The nerf should be that the op rounds only effect guardians with the same elemental type and/or fundamentals is random

I don’t mind hard light. I wouldn’t mind if they tweaked the sound of the gun though, bunch of hard lights give me actual headaches lol. But I think the gun is fine as is.
