Only thing wrong with erentil (and only erentil) is backup plan. But that is useful once, and still isn't amazing. Charge time ultimately makes them bad.

And yet, you and others like you, making the effort to diminish the things said by people who dont share your opinion, think you are seeking balance? We are experiencing the game as well. Play style most assuredly affects how you enjoy the game, but this has little to do with my willingness to change my tactics. It has everything to do with the ease of use of Erentil and how rewarding it it.

According to the false claims presented Erentil should be used by all shotgun users because its “better than a shotgun”. It’s not. It’s also not overpowered. There is no reason to nerf it.

I prefer slugs because I don't like sitting crouched in a lane with a projection fuse firmly planted Erentil. You ever think perhaps people use shotguns and snipers more cause they are more fun. Infinitely more exciting to get a kill with? To move around the map.

It’s getting downvoted by players like me who don’t even use it, but also know it doesn’t need to be nerfed out of viability because it counters you and you don’t want to get better at the game.

I'm not asking for the weapon to become unviable. Just have it adjusted to have range be more in line with the other fusions.

So it is in like with other fusions of that archetype. All weapons have different archtype. The range is fine. It doesn’t need adjusted. No one is killing you at >20m when you jump at them with your shotgun out.

This is coming from a PC player. I played console for a day and could easily counter erentil, but I do see how it may be hard for the console crowd, not having the same experience, since when I put on my erentil, I was destroying people when I shouldn't have been.

It isn't countering. They aren't unbeatable. I merely said the scales are tipped in their favor and having a charge time does not leave them at such a disadvantage that they are outdone by everything in their range

On PC, at least, using a fusion is generally a disadvantage. An erentil charge time is what, 800? Most gun ttks are less than a second. Guns like spare rations are basically aimbot guns because of their bullet magnetism numbers, and people generally have better movement on PC. Just my experience. I have like 1.2k kills on 1 erentil alone, and used it to get my mtt (fabled) ages ago, but rarely see an erentil.

But by your own admittance you used it for over 1000 kills to achieve fabled. I'm not saying there are not better weapons, only that on console it is too effective

Oh, yeah, but that was well before any sort of sbmm, and when I was a worse player :P. I pretty much exclusively run off-meta unless I have to, and when I rarely encounter one, I can usually beat it. My special weapon changes are still as follows: Remove quickdraw (inc backup plan) from all special weapons. Remove snapshot from all special weapons Greatly reduced mobility(?) when using a special weapon, e.g slide distance greatly reduced. Currently it is too easy to get loads of special and use it as your primary.

But I like your approach to achieving fairness. I don't care about quickdraw. It would be no great loss for a minor range reduction. Increased spread.

I enjoy special weapons. I think when the game was double primary, everyone left, cause it was Uriels, antiope, and side arms. Special fights are fun. I enjoy close range tussles and snipers squaring off. Fusions I feel are unrewarding for the kill. People can use them if they like, but I think the ranges they freely grant kills to someone that hasn't mastered movement, cause he just has to offset for charge time, is bull.

The issue with special weapons is that they require no skill. Snipers aim for you, shotguns have stupid handling and range (plus characters are fast af), fusions have backup plan, and mtt exists. I would LOVE a primary meta, where specials are the underdog, just as long as most primaries were viable. I hate 450 autos.
