I find it endlessly funny that they essentially spelled this out for us, both in-game and through the Dawn stream, and even at the very start of Shadowkeep, that the seasonal slots were for only that season, and that you'd need to get new armor for the new mods. All that and yet only now are people complaining. You had an entire season to give them feedback, guys. Bit late to start now.

They don't listen to feedback anyway. People were telling them that: 1. the new armor elements suck and that you should be able to change it when you master work Their response was basically "tough shit lmao we're adding half assed generic mods that are grossly overpriced instead!" 2. Old armors on planets should be turned into ornaments for our trouble getting them, and that the tech is there to easily add them as such we were again told "lmao tough shit making an ornament is hard, that'll be 15$ buddy" 3. There ought tobe some sort of bonus for season passes, what you get is too little for the price we were told by staff something along the lines of "we'll pass it along and we agree but don't think they will listen" They don't care.

This issue goes even further back to season of opulence with the hive mods, yet now it’s an issue

You can give all the (good) feedback you want, the maximum you can get out of that is a response that (s)he will tell it to the rest ... and that's it ...

Well shit by your logic, if your wife was sleeping with someone last year and you kinda had a gut feeling. But if you didnt know for sure and found out yesterday, o well, to late to complain.

Personally, I don't care about that, I will still play "for fun" as I always did, but I think you should question yourself whether such concept was correctly spread to the community, since all the "hate" is coming out just now or whether they could've insisted a bit more on that specific concept instead. In any case, regardless whether this was mentioned in streams or not, this still should be addressed as soon as possible, since (almost) the entire playerbase is not enjoying that, which still makes it a "wrong" choice whatsoever, despite I think this is based on some balancing or design choice, which makes it even harder to fix it fast in reasonable times now.

Probably because the reality of the situation is only now apparent, folks having maxed out their 2.0 at an immense chore-like grind. To have it nullified.
