So it's cool and all that Bungie finally acknowledged (only took them a year) that OEM is blatantly overpowered, but can we not forget about Mountaintop, Recluse, Contraverse Hold, Arc Battery, Thunder Coil, 540rpm pulses being way out of line and. so. on ?
Telesto gets disabled within hours of the discovery of the exploit, yet when it comes to bringing all these other things, which have been around for in some cases over a year now, nothing happens and everyone just seems to forget about them ?
I'm going to be entirely honest: This whole "a renewed focus on PvP" ? I don't see a bit of it, and just because one or two good changes are on the way, we shouldn't forget about the rest of the construction site that Crucible is and has been for years now

I dont see how mountaintop, contraverse hold or 540 rpm pulses are op in any way. The pulses are just fast, like 600/720 rpm autos are. Contraverse only works when charging void lock grenades. And mountaintop can be sidestepped easier than jotunn can cause it doesnt track.

The problem is when it comes to actual balancing, there will inevitably be something that's "way out of line." That's why we end up with hellish metas in most games, really. They know there are some things that are too strong, but they leave them be so those who spent the time to obtain them don't feel like their time was wasted. The reason they're looking into OEM is because it's not just a numbers game; the thing has too many powerful effects rolled into one perk. Same deal with the bottom tree Striker nerf. Too many powerful effects rolled into one ability. The problem with the nerf, of course, being that it's from all angles and might be way overkill because of that.

Not a single one of those things (apart from OEM obviously) are in anyway OP... On console at least, most of the time it's a case of learning how to play against them. In particular recluse is absolutely fine and deserves to remain as it is based on how many people dragged their way through comp to get it. Having said that I do think it probably is a problem on PC given that it's more like a laser when there's little recoil

Recluse is super op
