It's a long shot but still I don't trust him. He truly believes that the world as we know it is doomed. Everyone's fate is sealed. So why does he bother to support us? Not to mention why does he care about our allegiance with the awoken? Because we are making progress against the darkness? Something is off.

No bacon involved... Conspiracy theory debunked. ✌️

I think he's slowly revealing himself that he's an agent of the Darkness. There is a spectrum of allegiances in the game. We Guardians are at one extreme....and the Hive/Taken are at the other. We serve the Light, and feel that the best chance of Humanity's survival lay in allying with The Traveller. What Leviathan called "The Way of the Sky" or the Gentler Path in the Books of Sorrow. The Hive/Taken/Worm Gods ally with the Darkness/Deep...and are all vying to be the Last Species Standing at the End. But in-between you have all these characters who are more morally "grey"....and aren't aligning with one side or the other fully. 1. You have the Fallen...who want the Light back...but feel they have to take it FROM us....and can't share it with us. 2. The Drifter....who knows what's coming. He's on the side of humanity. But (having lived through the horror of the Dark Age that followed the Collapse) doesn't trust The Light and believer that the only way to fight the Darkness is with the Darkness. 3. Queen Mara/The Awoken. Also on the side of Humanigy, but believes that a balance must be struck between Light and Dark. The Queen seems to believe that extremes on both sides only lead to destruction. So she seems to be trying to carve her own path between the two. 4. The Nine. Not entirely clear what they are....but I suspect that they are the Collective Consciousness of the Solar System itself. And that their agenda is the survival of the star system...and not necessarily the particular forms that Life have taken. 5. Calus. I believe that Calus is slowly revealing that he is an Agent of the Darkness....but not a Zealot like Oryx. Or driven by the need for personal survival to murder everything in sight like the Hive. I believe he thinks the end he was shown by the Darkness is inevitable. But he's going to "party hard"....settle some scores....and generally enjoy himself before the end comes. I think his interest in us is like that of the Drifters. He wants to protect those he considers friends and allies from the catastrophe he sees coming. During the Menagerie he implores us to come live aboard the Leviathan and "Never return to The Dreaming City". He clearly believe that Mara's Arrogance has led her to strive against forces that are beyond her....and implies that she'll lead us to destruction if we trust or follow her.

Editado por DrEvo82: 6/23/2019 2:49:42 PMMaybe not to consume. But maybe to join or become an agent of The Darkness. The Darkness lost last time, maybe it knows it can't defeat The Light. So, the best way to win would be to convert us? But, I'm no lore scholar and also like kellygreen2's take as well.

1 ResponderI’ll take the weapons, but if he ever asks me to do anything against the city. Nah, I’m good. Plus I don’t want to face Shaxx as an enemy. Like, ever

I like that

I don’t think so, I think that he was initially rewarding us for defeating Ghaul and after relying on us on multiple occasions he has decided that together, the Guardians and Calus will stand somewhat of a chance against the darkness and be able to understand the secrets of the universe

3 Respostas<He wants petty revenge against the Cabal Empire's current leaders because they've turned it into the militaristic-without-elegance war-based faction it is now.>

For cabal... The fatter they are the stronger they are consdered. Which is why you never see a thin cabal .

1 ResponderI never understood why people write a whole topic body's worth of text and then slap it in the title. You could have just said: perhaps Calus is luring us?

A pretty cool idea, that would be fun
