This has gotta be the most entitled community I've been a part of. Oh no, you have to grind for materials to level up your favorite gear....in a looter shooter? Unacceptable!

  • But it’s not a trophy. That would be like honing everyone Not Forgotten. Currencies that are meant to be used frequently shouldn’t be scarce to all players. There needs to be a steady way to earn the so the process is more streamlined.

  • "grind" is not game design. It's how stupid's waste their life on addiction.

  • So what the original poster and the people defending Bungie are actually saying is we're part of the very loud hard-core player community for Destiny 2, who live plugged into their system and all they do is play Destiny 2 when they're not at work, if they even work. They don't mind all the try-hard super grinding that's been rampant since Forsaken dropped because Bungie's catering to their play style. "To hell with all medium and Casual players, who don't live plugged into their system, as long as Bungie keeps the game environment set up to our liking." Yeah... but where are the entitled ones. All it is is another case of gaming elitism. "We're try-hards for Destiny 2 so we have access to all this high-level end-game gear, and we're the first ones to max out our light level every season so we're better than you medium and Casual peasants who don't live on their system." If all that in game exotic and legendary gear becomes more accessible for casual to medium players, it takes away their sense of superiority. Take note Bungie, your community is made up of more than the loud players who live on their systems all day. Take enhancements cores out of infusion.

I mean we already infuse legendary shards, glimmer and planetary materials into guns and armor. Why do enhancement cores need to be part of infusion when so many currencies are? All the other currencies make sense in infusion because they’ve been there since day 1. All of a sudden they add a fourth currency to grind for that bad and still doesent have any reason to be in infusion cost. It’s not about players being entitled or whiny, it’s about and extra step Bungie placed in infusion that was never there. They put it there to extend playtime and enhance the “play the way Bungie wants you to” experience. The economy is terrible for those who can’t play a ton to farm for them then players are restricted to not using optimal loadouts for activities due to the drought of cores in their experience. Cores shouldn’t be in infusion bc they were never designed to be nor is there a reason for them to be.

  • You also don’t have to “play a lot to farm”. Doing the bounties each day will take 20-30 minutes max. I’m trying to get my masters and have a job and I can still find 30 minutes a day to log on and do that stuff.

  • But you have to spend a good amount of time doing them when you could be playing activities you want to play. That’s not entitlement, that’s quality of life and player experience. You want your players to enjoy what they are doing right? Well if you can’t tell by the onslaught of people’s opinions on the forum right now, you can see that this part of the game is not enjoyable. It’s about being able to play your way and feel rewarded, not bungies way.

  • It’s because the other materials are so easy to come by that it means nothing. Enhancement cores you actually have to do stuff to get and that’s what it’s all about. I mean you can buy them from Spider to an extent, but after buying 3 it’s not worth it. All the other materials if you have less then 1000 then you did something wrong. So using those materials is nothing. Doing bounties to get the cores gives something to do to earn the power up of your favorite weapon.

  • Yea so why not make them drop from all activities bc obviously this Isent working. If they had a chance from dropping from ALL activities players could play the modes the want rather than what they have to and earn cores for progression. They are literally getting to play the only thing they like and still earn cores rather than farm events for shell fragments then completing bounties. THERES SO MUCH TO DO IN THIS GAME then adding a chore to get cores to level up on top of that? That’s not a good experience when people are still struggling to complete 3/4 of the milestones. Or just remove them from enhancement bc they were never meant to be there in the first place. Since infusion day 1 they were never there and now they are for bottleneck progression and extending play time in the activities you don’t want to be in.

  • To be fair not mant activities even need you to be at 700. Like i get player choice but for example infusing isnt really needed in pvp as light level isnt enabled outside of IB. Heck for all we know the bounties can be as general as kill x amount of fallen which can be done in strikes, nightfalls, dailys, patrol or even gambit.

  • If it gives a small chance from dropping from all activities then I would be fine, but you shouldn’t get them handed to you from every activity because it just comes back to the whole concept of everyone wants stuff handed to them. That’s where the entitlement part comes in. Unless you’re willing to do stuff to get stuff then you are the definition of entitled.

  • With as much as we need to use them it would have to be a little more than small bc then it becomes another respect for players time vs rewards for that time. They should just do away with them in infusion and leave them for masterworking. Increase glimmer and shard cost for infusion and remove cores.

  • You shouldn’t have to use them that much. That’s what you aren’t getting. You shouldn’t be infusing until max level anyways. Until then the point is to try out using the other guns that drop. That’s why they brought back random rolls so more weapons could be used in different situations.

  • No trust me I get that, no one wants to use them bc they need to save up for later infusions, but having multiple sets and gear you like using can make it super expensive.

  • Still 35 cores a week should EASILY be enough to do all the sets you need. Normally 2 cores per thing. If you had 5 different loadouts (which is more then most) it is only 80 cores. That’s 2 weeks at max since I’m not counting the random ones you get for breaking some stuff down, the masterwork weaves, or the ones you can buy from spider daily.

  • I don’t have that kind of time, nor do I want to spend it doing bounties for cores. I want to play the activities I want and still have a shot at earning them when I can play. Play time is the key, if you don’t have a lot, it’s not going to work out for you.

  • 20 minutes a day? I spend 50+ hours a week in school for my masters program, go to work, and spend time with my wife and friends and I can do 20 minutes a day. So you’re less then a casual player so, in all do respect, what you say doesn’t really matter since you aren’t helping Bungie boost player population numbers or generate revenue. Which there is nothing wrong with, but if you can’t even play 20 minutes during the day then it shouldn’t matter for you either way.

So misguided. You're missing out on one of the most crucial issues here. LITERALLY NOBODY ASKED FOR THIS INFUSION SYSTEM. But sure... Whatever you say pal. Muted.

  • It’s pathetic!! That’s what happened to the gaming generation. INSTANT GRATIFICATION! “Why should I have to work to get something when I know if I complain about it I’ll get it handed to me?” is the whole problem with this community. Worse part is they probably take this thought into their real life because people are who they are. You don’t pick to be lazy in one thing and not be lazy in another. So these people are most likely not trying to strive for better in their professional lives either; The most likely go to work, complain about work, and go home to complain more. I honestly hope most these people leave the game so the game can actual rebuild its player base with people that actual want to log on and do these things to get stronger. It might hurt the game at first, but then they advertise a little bit to get a different demographic and go from there.
