  • I could be entirely wrong here, but I think it could’ve became 60 FPS in Forsaken. Enlighten me if I’m incorrect.

  • It didn't nor can it on current gen consoles. The only console that could run it at 60 is the Xbox one X because of it's more modern specs

  • Tbh I think that any console should be capable of running 60 FPS. It was probably kept at 30 FPS not because of console not having the required specs, but inefficiencies in the D2 system, which could be masked with better specs. Anthem seems to be 60 FPS (no, I am not swindled by the beta or any of that, just giving a detailed game as an example). It should’ve became 60 FPS in the transition between last gen and current gen on D1, yet still remained at 30 (the only changes between last gen and current were the graphics and newer DLC’s, however these DLC’s such as TTK came after D1 was available on current gen, so there was no reason it couldn’t support 60). If my rambling was illegible, essentially I’m saying that I think that the current gen consoles could support 60 FPS if there were less inefficiencies on Bungies end.

    It is specs at the time of release that hardware was 4yrs old and even at the time of release (2013) the hardware already had a weak CPU to hold some of it back. Destiny 2 on PC for example, runs amazing. And on console it maintains 30fps pretty consistently, so optimization isn't a problem. There's no way to increase the FPS to 60 on current gen consoles, the hardware simply isn't powerful enough Also anthem runs at 30fps on console
