Bungie,
I am not the best player. I think I would be considered casual. To me, as a casual player, I feel unwelcome in this game. The only reason I can think of for you to have introduced weapons for the top tier players to get and take into PVP to beat casuals even harder with is that you don't want us there.
The only reason I can think of for you to continue to allow the LFG posts for raids that are intended to exclude casual players is that you don't want us there.
Where does the player with no group belong after they hit the level cap and complete the campaign? Where can I go--with my limited time--to enjoy this game? Raid groups are exclusive, so I won't even get in. In PVP there is no competing with Luna's and Not Forgotten, shotguns, Hunters new vest and super, Telesto, Wave Splitter--you know, all the guns and things you are getting complaints about (I guess for no reason in your opinion). All these things make PVP incredibly frustrating. It just isn't fun. I would try for Luna's myself, but I'm late to the party and would need to fight through armies of people who already have it and make good use of it's perks to stop me from getting it. I am convinced you didn't think about how that was what it would be like for people, and that is sad.
Then there is the fact that the game was made with P2P hosting for PVP. This is just a purely bad idea for reasons that are obvious. It is the heart of why PVP is so bad, and everything else builds from there. The connection manipulation that goes on is actually funny when you realize that sometime in the past this setup was chosen despite knowing players would do this (because there's no way a conversation about it didn't happen where whoever was at that table decided everyone who bought your game could just -blam!- off if they expected reasonable matchmaking).
So, I give up. It couldn't be more obvious that you just don't want casual players in your game, but--oddly enough--you expect to be able to set it up with such casual, nonchalance. I am happy to help you reach your goal.
Best,
Filthy Casual

20 RespostasI will say I think it was Bungie’s STUPIDEST idea ever to make the Luna’s howl as a reward for the top tier players in pvp. They are the LAST group that need a weapon like that!!!!!

Great post, totally agree with the LH and NF pinnacle weapon part too.

I think most of us fully understand where your coming from. The problem is we have been there before, D2 was simplified for the casual player and it bombed, 3 weeks in and it was dead in the water. Its difficult to balance the casual and the daily player, however its been fully demonstrated that D2 as a simplified casual friendly game is a non starter. You get to the point where you need others or leave, you've chosen to leave which is fine but there is little point blaming bungo as its how the game has evolved. Good luck

2 RespostasEditado por x0 BlackJack 0x: 1/7/2019 6:10:03 PMGood points and I agree with you. It’s a shame that bungie is dying and has no future after destiny contract ends but at least they made halo. Take care and rip bungie PS ignore the negative comments as they tend to come from players who take activisions shaft up the rear and enjoy it.

7 Respostasto be fair Bungie tried making D2 more casual friendly when it launched and got so much back lash from the hardcore fans (myself included) that they started reverting back to the endless grind and low drop rates. however they went too far in that direction in my opinion and the game is a 2nd job again. Bungie has NEVER been able to find the sweet spot somewhere in the middle of casual and hardcore grind. they also have NEVER been able to deliver a balanced pvp experience but thats more to do with weapons and armor that make PVE fun and interesting, if every gun were balanced there would be little variety in PVE. that along with a terrible p2p "hybrid" system and the worst matchmaking system I've ever seen just makes for an unenjoyable experience for the majority of players. I do agree with your point on pinnacle weapons tho, just seems to be a case of the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

2 RespostasI joined a clan that likes to raid.

1 ResponderIdk I don’t have Luna’s or a good role on a Dust Rock; I run my Bygones with a Retold Tale and do alright. The meta is beatable, you just gotta find a load out your confident in my dude.

3 RespostasOP: on one hand I feel you dude... You cannot play this game casually (and expect to compete or be optimal in Gambit or raids) But in the other hand. It's a looter shooter my guy. It's supposed to be a game with an endless supply of loot to chase and grind for. That said - yes- bungie can stand to implement smarter rng elements, so that if you choose to play eventually you're guaranteed to get the loot. like a process of elimination for the chests at end of last wish. 24 completions and tada finally 1000 voices because 24 chests = 24 chances But you have to choose to play my guy. They went the other way at launch and we were all done with the entire game in 3 weeks. Go make friends. Join my clan. We've got plenty of guys catching up and others who have caught up. But don't sit there and whine, it's sad.

1 ResponderDestiny 1 age of triumph time was some of the best times I ever had in the whole franchise.

2 RespostasCommit.... make a video of you deleting your characters....I will pay you 100 Bucks to do it. but... you have to play this song while doing it. "All around me are familiar faces Worn out places, worn out faces Bright and early for their daily races Going nowhere, going nowhere Their tears are filling up their glasses No expression, no expression Hide my head, I want to drown my sorrow No tomorrow, no tomorrow And I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take When people run in circles it's a very very Mad world, mad world"

You are blaming people not letting you in their raid teams on Bungie?? And do you have enough time to do a raid? -
8 RespostasGotta ask this. Why couldn't you find a group to raid with? Did you expect someone in the tower to message you and ask if you wanna raid?
The only reason I can think of for you to have introduced weapons for the top tier players to get and take into PVP to beat casuals even harder with is that you don't want us there.
I came from Halo and I was frustrated with me having crap guns and others having good guns in PVP. However, I made the choice to get me good guns instead of quitting.
The only reason I can think of for you to continue to allow the LFG posts for raids that are intended to exclude casual players is that you don't want us there.
Bungie doesn't have control over how people want to raid. Many have limited time, so they want to efficiently beat the content so they can do other stuff. Some people do help new people too, but you probably didn't see any of them. There is way not to be casual, study the raids and try to host your own or join guided games (People willing to help casuals) Yeah, if you don't have the time or willingness to find friends, this may not be the game for you.

2 RespostasIf you quit and deleted what is the point in this? Feedback? To what end? Its like explaining in detail why you divorced your wife. In the end does it really matter? No, you left.

3 RespostasDon’t even blame you. You can’t casually play this game.

4 RespostasEditado por BozzyTheDrummer: 1/7/2019 7:01:58 PMNormally I would agree with this. But, I won't. I would call myself a casual, I think. I am definitely not hard-core. The reason I would have called myself a casual is honestly, I was afraid to get into parties with random people. I'm 26 and was always too nervous to play a damn video game with people, in a game that is based on playing with others. I never did any raids because I was too afraid, as I stated above. I solo PvP 90% when not online with a few friends. I am decent at PvP. I can get as many kills as anyone else if I try, but I'll get just as many deaths, if not more. In my experience with Destiny as well as just my opinion, is that this game is not to push away casuals. Casuals are pushing themselves away from this game and I think they mostly feel unwelcome due to their own insecurities. Again, this is my opinion. Just this past weekend, I finally completed The Last Wish. This was my very first raid clear ever. TOok us 8 and half hours. And you know what, It was a lot of fun and I am really, really glad I actually followed through and joined a group. The group I was in, is a clan I just joined that focus on helping people. Tried Leviathan a few weeks back and almost finished it before we all got off. I was really nervous and didn't talk much. This past weekend, I was a little nervous, but I wasn't the only noob in the raid, there was one other. We had some players come and go, but the last couple that joined stayed, and we all worked to get it done. I think when you get over that fear of talking to people you don't know, it gets a lot easier and it's like this huge weight taken off your shoulders, because you realize it's not that bad and now, you can start more endgame activity. I see a lot of people who refer to themselves as casual usually tend to have trait in common. Fear or anxiety of playing with random people they don't know. Once you overcome this, the game seems to open up more. Edit: If YOU take the time and search LFG (it takes a while) you'll find groups that are chill and willing to teach. IF YOU take the time to search for an active clan that likes to help new people and are respectful, they will let you in. You just have to put time in to actually finding these people.

Take care, see ya. Go off to the promised land my friend, a place where the developer actually gives a damn outside of meeting number goals. This is a forsaken wasteland, they picked a very apropos name for the expansion. I'm imagining next year's expansion will be called The Darkness Whatever.

6 Respostasyou sound like a spoiled brat complaining the cool kids won't let you play with them. it's really not difficult to find people to play with and do the things you want to do. yet among this spoiled look at me I'm leaving post mentions nothing you've done to accomplish the raids or getting the weapons you feel are made to make you quit. (by the way they totally made those weapons to piss you solely off) just another attention seeker who doesn't play well.
