I hate to say it, but Iron Banner is actually cancer.
Edit: For certain users, please note multiple definitions for the term above.
Latency, hit registration, light level advantages wildy inconsistent.
SBMM? Non-existent.
CBMM? Non-existent.
P2P networking simply doesn't work.

It has sbmm enabled. This is why alot of people don't want sbmm bc connection trumps skill. U can be god tier but if ur far from the host u will struggle to go positive. Even good application of sbmm will result in blowouts bc it's damn near impossible to evaluate skill but cbmm at least gives u an equal playing field.

Edit: For those that say that streamers are not the cause for most of the changes in this game. Can you explain how this community has more of a say on what takes place in this game and who Bungie listens to more if Bungie said that (Streamers are the communities leader?) as I said to someone on this thread, when did this vote take place that we had a say in who was our community leader? Editado por joey big guns: 12/27/2018 11:19:10 PMI’m still trying to figure out how I saw a Blade Barrage Hunter getting shot the hell up, go to nearly 0 health jump up behind a wall where you couldn’t see anything but possibly the soles of his boots, pop the super and get kills while still in the air and behind said wall...which was in a enclosed walkway. Smh. I bet they didn’t get a kick or warning either but I’m sure it was “my connection that was the problem”. 😅

2 RespostasHaven’t had these issues. Bad team mates? Oh hell yeah. Sweats? Those too. But lag? Not really. Honestly I almost never encounter lag in PvP. It’s a very rare thing; except i play on PC so I don’t know if that matters but yeah. Most games I play on pc don’t lag actually.

12 RespostasDon’t forget that is it pay-to-win. Anyone who bought base game + 2 DLCs will lose in Iron Banner, as it requires you to pay (even more) for Forsaken to buy max light/650. This company is pathetic. It is not enough that they charge for OP weapons/armor, but even basic players’ level is paywalled, so purchasers of base game, Curse of Osiris & warmind are stripped out of content they paid for (Iron Banner). It’s disgusting that they are getting away with it. There was no level advantage in Iron Banner during year 1, and among the many suggestions to improve it (and the rest of the game), bungie picked the 1 they could profit from, while appearing to listen to feedback. They didn’t pick implementing dedicated servers or fixing matchmaking; no, they chose the least effort way that would generate profit. And then they wonder why their sales are down 63%. It is unethical and borderline illegal practices like these that alienate the player base.

for the record I'm not anti streamer, streaming or youtube content creator. In fact i think many many youtube content creators make great content and are very useful to the players. They explain lots of shit and I both like their how-tos, the weapon reviews and other things. I simply think everybody's opinons need to be more well thought out. You can have lots of things to do and content that endures without just saying "give me grind" and then Bungie makes you go farm spinmetal or rng drops on the moon. You can alter pvp without wrecking pve (may require doing what you don't want to do balancing weapons separatly but its doable). Just cause streamers think matchmaking ruins everything doesn't mean it couldn't be optional for those who'd rather have a less than perfect nightfall than no nightfall at all.

6 RespostasInconsistent you say? I'm 650 n have been 1 hit burned out by incendiary grenades today thrown by guys who where 555. I've been melted by blue smgs, you know the ones that spray all over the screen, before I can get HC shots off. I've played games and done really well, then played the same guys n can't kill anyone. I've won 4 games in a row then suddenly every opponent I face is a Luna, Dust Rock, sliding hunter from Peru. It's manipulated, it's obnoxious, it's not fun, it's that simple. Gambit is very similar only they've clearly buffed the ai, taken wire rifles melt you, any mid tier enemy like shrieker, wizard, colossus, turret, knight, hydra, suddenly have huge health pools and super high damage, but not in every game. It's connection, plain and simple. Half the time in the forge I can't pick the balls up for 30 secs because I'm with a guy from Russia, it's stupid AF

2 RespostasI've been kicked back to orbit for no reason after it tells me I'm matched, hit a guy 4 times with sentinel shield and shield bash and he didn't even get past half his life, shot guys in the head dead center registered as body shots, did I mention I keep getting kicked to orbit for no reason.

3 RespostasThe worst part about this game is: Latency. Dedicated servers would fix everything. It somebody is lagging, they will lag themselves, not the entire lobby / gunfights. Noob/Fireteam protection. I don't believe in SBMM, but I certainly do support not having level 8 blueberries go up against stacks at level 650 in any game mode. Players who are clearly new to the game should be able to play with each other, and players who are solo / not close to the level cap shouldn't be facing stacks at the level cap, especially in a game mode where power matters.

Is it LITERALLY killing you!? THEN DON'T PLAY! I don't... Better to avoid the headache and rage fits/quits/shits. Maybe when they notice the participation has dropped because IB is -blam!-ing god awful now compared to D1 they'll ACTUALLY do something about it. Doing the same thing and expecting different results is the definition of INSANITY after all.
