I dont see why he'd be treated as an outcast, we're guardians we know how this works. The person whos risen isnt the same person who died, heck our character couldve been a mass murderer in our previous life and we wouldn't know.
With the Vanguard position, Uldren is inexperienced but i think Zavala might do it as a formality. He says at the end of the campagin that Uldrens death will have repercussions some day, so maybe he does it as a way of avoiding any potential backlash

The difference between most guardians' pasts and Uldren's past is that most guardians were dead for centuries, and thus most details of their past are lost. Uldren's was experienced firsthand, and the effects of his actions were felt throughout the system. The character's hatred for Uldren will be tempered by the knowledge that this isn't Uldren, but the question is if that'll be enough to keep him from being exiled/ostracized. I could easily foresee Eva being Uldren's biggest supporter. Or even Ada-1 because of her preaching about privilege, and Uldren having none with other guardians.
