Trying to design the game for competitive pvp players did. Because the needs of a loot game and an e-sport are utterly incompatible with each other. So the more Bungie tried to make pvp players happy, the more they broke the pve side of the game. All the bad decisions that he highlighted were all efforts to make pvp “balanced and competitive”.... and therefor e-sport ready. To join the rest of Activision Blizzard’s stable of e-sports....
