I get I want to do it legit, but easy loot is better than not easy. Everyone cheesed Crota everyone. Same with other raids. It’s not a bad thing at all it’s how destiny has worked since it started raids. Don’t let your pride prevent you from doing something.

The Crota cheese still forced you play the encounter with its various mechanics, aside from Crota fighting back at times. So not all mechanics were lost. But with the Riven cheese, it ignores ALL the mechanics.

I killed Crota over 200 times and never cheesed that encounter once.

I wouldn’t say it’s a matter of pride, I legitimately find the fight fun. It’s worlds better than anything the leviathan has to offer. Learning the mechanics and coordinating to go up all 3 floors, then falling down and shooting the weak spots is fun to me and is what a raid should be in my opinion. I hold nothing against those that choose to cheese their way through it, but like I said, I actually enjoy the fight, and it’s pretty easy once you get the hang of it.
