They really need to think before they nerf the sleeper
It's a excellent weapon in pve just because there is cry babies they shouldn't nerf a weapon into the ground it's easily obtainable by anyone

Its aim is pretty generous My guess in crucible it always was this big but none use it crucible so we never knew That's what they are talking about lowering Stills one shot across map

2 RespostasSo the fact it’s simply too powerful confirmed by Bungie after every topics pertaining to the Sleeper being way too good and they’re only tweaking the aim assist on it is causing you and countless others to panic? The damage is the same, you’re just going to be forced to really aim at the target now. Hell it just might be the only part of the Sleeper getting tweaked if the problem was just the aim assist being too high. It’s like I had one of those crystal globes predicting the future with amazing accuracy because Bungie reviewed the numbers and confirmed it’s too good although a power ammo tweak would’ve been better. Seriously there’s just not enough sense for people to realize when a weapon is being used as a crutch.

All that's being nerfed is the aim assist. Besides, there are better weapons PvP wise.

9 RespostasThey aren't "nerfing it in to the ground because of crybabies". They're reworking the item because the DATA shows that it is vastly over-effective in Gambit compared to practically every other weapon to the point that not having it actively puts you at a disadvantage. Did you honestly think that they just nerf things because people tell them to? No. They nerf things that have a large portion of the playerbase claiming they are OP, and then they look in to match data and weapon useage data to see if that's backed up, and if the numbers are skewed towards the item/ability's favor, then they nerf the aspects that are causing it to skew the numbers. Sit down and shut up.

all they have to do is reduce ammo to 2 shots total, in gambit only.

They’re only going to tweak it for Gambit, they’ve specified that it will still retain it’s power, but require more skill in order to kill another guardian. So don’t worry about Sleeper being destroyed.

17 RespostasDid anyone actually read the post and or the tweet from bungie devs? They never said they were going to out right nerf it. They said they are looking into ways to make it more fair. You and everyone else are making chickens out of a feather.

13 RespostasIts not even that its obtainable. The fact is that people die to it because they're **stupid**. I'm going to post a thread later about how I got an "Army of One" medal in a match last night (Invasion....team wipe) using it. Long story short. They let me stand in a perfect sniping position. No one bothered to engage me. I proceeded to pick them off one at a time as they each presented me with a STATIONARY and exposed target. Yes, I killed them with Sleeper. But they would have been just as easy (if not easier) kills using a heavy sniper.....or even a tracking rocket. No weapon nerf is going to rescue people from that kind of play.....and the sad part is that if they do nerf Sleeper...those same idiots will be back complaining about how snipers need a nerf and rockets are Op. Because next time I show up with Whisper of the Worm...and they're just as dead.

92 RespostasIt’s a no skill weapon. The hit box is like anywhere within three feet of target. Body shot or head shot you get the kill. If you want to defend it so badly then they should split gambit into two playlists. One with sleeper and one where sleeper is locked out. Which one would you play? End of discussion.

Oh I am a happy boy. I don't care what they do with it, just make other power weapons viable in gambit. You can take that zero skill trash anywhere else

It is good in PVE but it does ruin gambit. The amount of times you get sniped from a full map away is just not fun. At least with a sniper it takes a bit more skill, sleeper is just too easy to get those crazy long hits with. Add to that the overshield an invader gets and even a close up 1 v 1 can be pretty hard when they can just one shot you at any range. Something needs to change but I do hope it's still viable in PVE.

Why is everyone so paranoid about this? the better solution is to limit the ammo that sleeper gets in Gambit, that's it.

Or we just balance PVP and PVE separately. It's almost like Bungie just sucks at their job.
