EDIT: I have gotten my answer to this question, many of you are just incredibly self entitled and expect this world to bend to your knee if something upsets you.
EDIT 2: To all those saying that I call people self entitled yet my post is about me being self entitled please elaborate and inform me as to where in this post I say im entitled to or deserve to have anything, because im convinced some of you have no clue as to what self entitlement means.
Posts mad about pvp locked rewards, posts mad about raid locked rewards, posts mad about having to play with other people.
What the -blam!- is wrong with some of you like honestly, youre mad bungie wants to to play every aspect of a game you purchased? Hell I saw posts where people said bungie is being manipulative for locking exotics and subclasses behind raids and pvp. Are some of you just confused as to the kind of game you are playing?
This is an MMORPG lite, there is no such things as a solo player or a solo experience, the raids are the penultimate source of gameplay and team work thats just part of an MMO, if playing what the entire game is building up to makes you angry then why the hell did you buy this game?
When it comes to pvp anyone of you complaining that its too hard to get pvp exotics because you suck at pvp then tough luck, sorry you expect to be handed everything on a silver platter and are struggling to get just 25 hand cannon percision kills but again if thats a problem for you why did you buy this game? If you actually cared about the item you want then maybe youd have the drive to practice and get better so that your efforts can be well rewarded.
Like yeah ive made alot of posts recently complaining about bungies actions with worlds first and other exploits but getting mad about having to simply play the game is a whole other level of whining about stupid shit.

In a loot based game where the loot affects the performance or properties of the player (in other words, is not strictly cosmetic), there is some responsibility on the development side to make sure that loot is obtainable to different types of players. Destiny is a First Person Shooter first and foremost; it has PvE stuff, PvP stuff, and RPG aspects throughout. Calling it an MMORPG Lite and using that to justify a highly biased perspective on how the game should be played, designed, and balanced, is just asinine. Destiny is a more complicated beast in genre terms than simply an MMO Lite. On another note, I find it frankly embarrassing as a gamer that “teamwork” and “communication” are trying to be sold to us as the pinnacle elements of PvE design mechanics. It’s forced and lazy at best. Also, I believe that it’s the case with most MMOs that the raiding fraction of the playerbase is the minority. So why should be surprised that it’s the case here, and with other content demanding loot and gameplay balance, why shouldn’t non-raid players be demanding access to gear that historically locked to raids? What sense would it make to have the best PvP weapon be locked exclusively to non-PvP content, or vice-versa? Realistically, if the loot system was properly managed and balanced, there would be viable alternative paths to gear if players either do not like, or for some reason cannot participate in, a particular type of content.
-
The thing that gets me is, if you don't want to or are unable to do the raid for whatever reason, why exactly do you believe you deserve raid loot? It is meant as endgame content for groups. If you don't have a group for whatever reason, you don't get to do it. If you aren't going to raid, other than iron banner why do you even care about light level? I'm nowhere near good enough to get the comp crucible quest reward, and that's fine with me. If others are able to do something and thus obtain something I cannot, they deserve it. Perhaps the problem is most people who play this game need to realize they aren't neces guaranteed a way to get every piece of loot on this game. If solo players could earn raid gear it would cripple the core community IMHO, but I could be completely wrong about this.

4 RespostasEditado por Corrick II: 9/17/2018 4:22:13 PMSimply put my issue is time. I can spend hours grinding this, or hours grinding that. I don't have the hours to grind everything. And this time around, Bungie has done what they typically do and swung way too far to one side, in this case to the streamers and "hardcore" players, making the grind even worse. For example I just don't have time to endlessly run heroic activities to eke out the seven fragments needed to put a key together, then spend hours grinding out EP's to get to the chest at level 7 after fighting waves and waves of the same boring enemies with artificially inflated difficulty levels all because Bungie decided they need to make things more complicated to extend the grind. It's not challenging or fun, it's just tedious. The less-sympathetic contingent will undoubtedly cry "go find another game" or "git gud", but I happen to like Destiny. A lot. Fundamentally it is an excellent shooter. I simply don't agree with the decisions being made about it's direction.
-
Play your way. Ever hear that phrase? Yes, we all did. Forcing people into activities to get gated items isnt playing your way. It's not self entitled to not want to go onto DDOS and dropped from not enough servers Crucible. You're whining actually because people dont want to play your way. Your way being whatever Bungie says because you're a good little hypocrite shill. The irony in these posts. It never gets old.

it's a looter shooter

5 RespostasThe game isn’t an MMO. It’s a HYBRID of MMO, action (loot-based) RPG, and FPS. And there are rules by which these game genres operate. There is very much a solo player experience in loot-based RPGs and FPSs. If you throw progression walls in front of people from these game genres, they will quit your game.

"Play your way......as long as it's our way."

I think the majority of people aren't mad about having to play all of the content, it's the fact that the content itself is not rewarding. Public events don't drop anything, neither do strikes or PVP stuff either. The only way to level up is through milestones, and they are trying to force people to do small things like public events and bounties and patrols through those milestones. No one wants to jump around from planet to planet to bounties and patrols that all drop nothing, just because one piece of gear that might be good is waiting at the end. It's not rewarding. All they had to do was make heroic public events and such drop good items and you'd have tons of people playing it. Instead, half the population is complaining about the fact that this is the most tedious and least rewarding grind in any part of Destiny. People don't want it to be easy, or super fast, but to get 3 milestones and still be at the same light level is a bit ridiculous. Milestones are the worst thing Bungie has ever implemented, and i think the majority of complaints about this game all stem from that one thing. They tell you there are so many ways to play, and then tell you exactly how you have to play, and still most of the time you get total shit for a powerful engram.

9 RespostasNo one who plays the game should have to do anything. People should be able to play whatever way is fun for them. That's the point of a game; it's supposed to be fun. Nor is this game an MMORPG, or even an MMORPG lite. It has solo and team activities. It's not an either/or. Again, games are for fun. No one should be told how to play.

21 Respostas...i dont mind playing all the content...i just hate that Exotics are locked behind near-impossible tasks. Look at the Ace quest...kill 5 invaders with a Hand Cannon...Now lets look at the mechanics...I have to rely on another player to make the decision to invade...i have 30 seconds to find them (near impossible) while im already at low health because of fighting adds...yet the invader has a double shield AND can see through walls...not to mention invaders just camp with sleepers. So lets say I actually find the invader...now i have to kill them with a Hand Cannon??...i HATE hand cannons...always have...always will...i have killed one invader with a hand cannon out of 80+ full matches of Gambit...and that was simply because i was lucky enough to come up behind the invader while they were focused on someone else. These quests are not based on grind...they are based on luck.

“Muh there’s not enough incentive to play the end game” *Bungie gives incentive* “Muh why are they forcing us to play the end game?!”

PvP is another story, but this is not a pure MMORPG. Destiny was (for me at least) an fps with RPG elements. This newest raid makes it feel like the whole shooting aspect is much less important. Instead of what your shooting feeling meaningful it just feels like they're pouring ads at you and not giving a shit about the gun aspect. I'm sure some people like this change (cause remember this is just my opinion) but I like it better when it was more shooting based and less mechanic focused.

12 RespostasMy issue is with pvp stuff. Destiny was not marketed as a pvp game According to lore pvp is a training ground before you tackle the darkness so why is there end game? Pvp is an optional side activity So, there is literally zero reason to add pvp into a quest in a game that was marketed as pve with an optional pvp mode Since it is only optional then Id like the option to not go into it at any point A better solution would be to add a pve roll and a pvp roll to everything. Do pve quest to get pve roll, pvp for pvp. Everybody wins and nobody ever has to cross over into the other if they don’t want to However, what’s happening at the moment is, that optional side activity is becoming a forced main activity so you can complete quest to get gun for use in pve. Kinda defeats the purpose don’t you think

People act like finding or setting up lfg is hard. If you don't have friends who play make some. When i started playing d1 in ttk I had 7 friends on my friends list with only 1 who played. When d2 came out wellll over 250+ (although I cleared out some that haven't been online in months) If you dont like the light requirements then make your own. If you go well with those people befriend them. Eventually you'll have enough people to do these activities. Ace of spades locked through gambit? You have 3 people you can call on to help team shoot that overshield. Can't get that seed of light locked the FIRST raid encounter? (if I remember correctly) you'll have 5 to call on for that. This game isn't made to be completed in a day. If you had your ace of spades the first week. Got your light maxed in 2 and completed the raid within the first 24hrs most of you would be complaining that theres nothing to do. These forums are for feedback and suggestions. All I've seen lately are people asking for handouts or just the same group of people who complained about d2y1 being too dry, complaining that its too hard now, for some reason or another. Tl;dr - Don't be a douche, make some friends and fight back the darkness together.

At the end of D1 beginning of D2 somebody did a extensive survey of Destiny players. Asking all sorts of questions ranging from what your favourite strike was to your favourite era of PVP. It was advertised here on these forums and over on Reddit for a good couple of weeks and over a 1000 players took part in it. One of the questions was what type of player are you? PVE and PVP, PVE ONLY or PVP ONLY. 70 odd % answered PVE and PVP. That leaves less than 30% that are dedicated only PVE or PVP players. Too bad these are the vocal minority with a chip on the shoulder thinking they talk for everyone.
-
Because it’s unfair on my quick play randoms when I just stand there and emote till the match is finished so I can get my powerful engram. PvP is broken and is something I’m forced to do to progress my power. Gambit was a novelty but it wore off after the first day. Sorry guys but I’d rather jump off the edge for a misadventure than credit you all a kill 😂

I only play what I enjoy doing. It's a game, not work. I don't play pvp because I don't enjoy it. I don't raid because I don't enjoy it. That means I won't get many things in the game that others will but what it does mean is that I will enjoy my playing. That's all that counts.
-
4 RespostasThat's the thing though, they're forcing to play every aspect, when you by product the company doesn't tell you what you have to do with it, you decide, because you bought it. I get what you're saying. But gambit and PvP just isn't enjoyable for, but I'm forcing myself to not enjoy the game because I want to be raid this month. Personally that's not OK. I don't mind certain items being locked behind gamemodes, I only mind it when they mix gamemodes together. It's not entitlement, it's wanting to play so you can enjoy it
-
It’s cause people are lazy and want everything handed to them in a looter shooter. They’re too scared to step outside their safety bubble and play something other than public events and heroic strikes.
-
I guess the moral of the story = Bungie have created an incredible game again, that some people can’t stop playing and want more of. Though as you say they want more of the wrong thing in the wrong game for their gaming pursuits?
-
2 RespostasPeople are just mad because the third sub-class is time-gated for people that don't raid. Time-gated content is a pretty big turn off for most gamers.
-
Editado por gethyn007: 9/17/2018 1:51:26 PMI don’t think people are mad because they have to play all the content. They don’t actually have to do anything. It’s easy to understand why people don’t enjoy or can’t enjoy certain aspects of the game though. Sure, they’d still like to have all the nice toys, so it can be a bummer to find those things locked behind activities that for whatever reason are normally avoided. but you just have to weigh out whether it’s worth it or not. I mean if something like Ace of Spades, for example, is worth doing what you have to do to get it, then go for it. If it isn’t, then don’t bother. If getting raid gear is worth doing what you have to do to get it, then go for it. If it isn’t, then don’t bother.

you hit it right
