Ok destiny as a series is mostly pve based, pvp was always secondary to bungie.
English
-
bungie sold Destiny as a PVE game, but then bungie tunes and makes destiny a pvp game......... pve get the cash grab Eververse...... and nerfed ARs....
-
That’s what they led you (us) to believe. The game revolves around PvP. Without it, there is no game.
-
-
Seriously, if you do t understand this by now, there is no way I’m going to take the time to explain it to you. If you want to read that as some sort of deflection, knock yourself out.
-
You say that but Bungie has for awhile Bent to the will of the PvP crowd. The changes made to D2 was to promote a MLG style. So to say that Destiny is a PvE game is factually incorrect. It may have started that way , just not now .
-
You mean the changes the pve community hate?
-
It didn’t even start that way. They always planned to have the game revolve around PvP.
-
Where did you find this out?
-
Common knowledge for Day One D1 players. Again, I’m not going to take the time to explain it to you.
-
That’s fine, it just always appeared to be pve-focused to me.
-
It was marketed that way, but have you ever seen a weapon tuning - nerf or buff - for the sake of PvE?
-
Now that you say it no, they never say so, but they have to balance pve and pvp as you have the same abilities, weapons, and armor in both.
-
Right, and the sharing of weapons and gear between PvP a d PvE was a really cool idea. It was one of the things that made Destiny Destiny. But, it really hasn’t worked out well.

In some areas, it has. For example, exotic weapons such as the darci and legend of acrius are good in the “power” weapon slot due to their unique traits. Darci gives you the health and shield percentages of enemies in the scope which also increases headshot damage. The Legend of Acrius has a low magazine size but tears through cabal and guardians alike.
