In this game you can’t kill a decent player unless you gang up on them or have heavy. Any game where you have enough time to run away in the middle of every firefight when you’re losing has too high of a TTK.

D1 wasn’t great pvp either. Looking at in relationship to D2 it’s great though. Everything is relative.

See I disagree but also agree I disagree Cause exhibit 1. Let's say we both have eyelunas and we are both overall same skill players I have rangefinder and luck in the chamber on mine and you have surrounded and idk let's use grave robber as another who has the advantage here in this fight in just a pure open 1 on 1 gun fight me with the perks on the weapon Pro : gives something to grind for thus creating time investment Con : 1. creating a situation of unfairness because of 1 players luck in relation to another's , 2. possible toxicity from one player getting mad for being killed by what one may or may not see as unfair. That's how I see d1 PvP even though I wasn't on very bad end of rung but I was still able to see flaws let's look at d2 PvP. Pros: 1. less ohk weapons (shotguns and snipers) being used solely and as primaries thus creating more gun fights that actually take time to complete and finish instead of (slide shotty melee find next player repeat ) it takes skill to win a gun fight in d2 2. All weapons come with same perks example we both using nightshade if I kill you with it you can't say (you just got lucky cause your rng was better or insert other excuse here > ______) same weapon same perks meaning either 1 player got lucky or just one player has more skill . Cons : less time to invest due to no random rolls to chase Me personally I think they need to make just more weps and increase the rarity of gear to make it more grindy but if you tend to get in a lot of 1v1 gun fights in d2 it's a fun game only thing thst makes it slightly less is going to challenge a enemy of getting teamed ttk does not need to be fixed they just need to find proper ways to make teaming less desirable or etc

Most players either bad or good think you need to finish a fight right then and there. Knowing when to back out of a disadvantageous position and move to an area of advantage is what sets us apart from the others.

It is a huge part of it; the high ttk is promoting team shooting and that alone is a big problem in crucible. A big part of D1 was being able to go 10+ kills alone against 2v1s 3v1s without an issue if you were able to land solid shots and play the map right!! In D2 you need to travel as a pack to win and that’s not fun imo... destiny is suppose to be a fast pace game with space magic! If you want to camp and slow play go to cod

I think the TTK (in crucible) with weapons is fine. Where they screwed up is by neutering the abilities, grenades and supers. No more hero moments, grenades just sting a little, and you are lucky to get two supers per match. The so called "power fantasy" or space magic is what made it fun. I'll play the mayhem list when it comes around.

I agree the abilities got destroyed lol... I just feel like ttk should maybe just reward good aim more, even increasing head shot dmg will do it. Make it so you’re able. To kill a guy in 1/4 and still have enough to turn and burn the next guy. Mind you this goes hand in hand with reload perks like feeding frenzy (random rolls ffs)

I can go around in solo queue and win just fine. I can go on 10-15 kill streaks. I got a we ran out of medals not too long ago. You guys can continue to blame the game over things that are your fault. The ttk is not to blame. Besides, do you honestly believe team shooting will go away on faster ttk. Hell no. If I can spray down someone in a quarter of a sec if I have a second guy, everyone and their mother will be doing it. At this point, reducing the ttk will only hurt the game, not help it.

you got a 20 kill streak? you got a run out of medals? WOW. Now...i don'k think those were all clean kills or 1v1 fights. I think a part of those "kills" were assists...and that that run out of medals wasn't a 20 kill streak...it was something like 13-14...with some assists. You know what is hard to do in D2? Not the we run out of medals...but the triple kill without super or heavy weapons plus abilities. And that's because, in my opinion, the ttk is TOO SLOW. Ps. before commenting that i'm not able and that is the point of my argumentations: i consistently keep a clean K/D ratio of 1,94 and an "efficiency" of 2.62. It's just...that the weapons do not kill fast enough.

If people give their opinions I take it as another aspect to look at. I wish people would just take what the other says without getting butthurt and looking them up just to see if they can insult and disprove them. Some people give off that “I’m not as good as I say” simply by the way they talk about themselves and how they talk to other people. Moving away from that, I don’t like to flaunt the we ran out of medals as a “I’m so great”, but rather as showing proof that it’s possible to get somewhere with this terrible ttk that people talk so frequently of. I looked at the kills of that match and 18 of those kills were mine and the other 2 I dealt most of the damage and finished them off. I don’t doubt that I could kill them, I just wish they didn’t have the “assists sometimes count as kills” thing so that we can get a better understanding of our actual stats.

in answer to the first part: my commento wasn't meant to hurt you. I'm sure you are a good player, i was just saying that obtaining a kill streak of 10 in D1 ora a run out of medals (25 kills in that game), was a lot heavier than now. In D1 a kill was a kill, an assist was an assist. It was difficult but obtainable, because you had all that you need to do that: primaries with a quick ttk, specials that could one shot, heavies, abilities, grenades, supers. It was "common" to get a triple by yourself with a good management of all that above. Now you can feel ok with it, but mathematic says that with the average ttk of kinetics/energetics of D2, with the weaker supers, with the longer cooldowns of abilities and grenades, to obtain a triple kill by yourself is a lot heavier than before. But it is easier to get a killstreak of 10 or of 20 (the new run out of medals) because the game counts a good assist as a kill. Your example..."18 of those kills were mine and the other 2 I dealt most of the damage and finished them off"...so it was not a 20 kill streak, and, moreover: it was not a 25 kill streak (the medal from D1). It was a great performance, but in D1 it would count as a 18 kill streak, that's it. I repeat myself, i'm saying it not to negate that you are a good player (you are, i'm sure), i'm saying that only to prove mathematically how D2 covers the lack of efficiency of the weapons. With a quicker ttk maybe you would be able to get the 25 kill streak without counting the assists, or to obliterate a whole team of 4 (so more than a triple) with a good usage of primaries, abilities...not to mention heavies and supers. that's my honest opinion.

You got the jump on them though and they were all dead before they had a chance to react. Can't count how many team wipes I got when people sat on each other. I run out of medals regularly in this game it's still slow paced and boring. You can't really go anywhere by yourself since you aren't strong enough to do so... It's 50/50 if you will even survive a 1v2 even if you out play the other team hard since it takes so long to kill. Just from reading your responses it appears you like team shooting.... something tells me you struggled to get kills in D1 and struggle to get kills by yourself 🤔

So all those games that I play in pvp when I solo queue are me team shooting. I hate team shooting cause I don’t feel the enjoyment of it. I prefer moving on my own. Another person slows me down. I did great in destiny 1. Certainly better than most. Certainly wasn’t the best, I’m not about to claim fiction. The only gamemode I care about and do my best in is clash. Clash is the most fun for me. This is a game, I should enjoy it. If you want to look at all my games in clash on my Titan then be my guest. Next time you try to insult someone over a “lack of skill”, make sure that person actually sucks at the game. 😂

Clash my friend. Read the post. Clash is the only game I care about because it is the only gamemode I find the most fun. Remember that this is a game, so finding the most fun activity and doing that, is important.

You average a 1.2..... I barely play anymore and average around 2+ and I don't back out I just take the arse kicking if there is an arse kicking to be taken. Heck I get so bored I jump into the enemies spawn just to 1v4... the TTK in this game is arse. But trying to brag about a 1.8 in one game mode when you back out of matches and have barely any time in the crucible is kind of hilarious.

Don’t get me wrong; I can bang in this game just fine BUT it feels painfully sluggish (getting adjusted). Just look at hand canons for a second, I miss the 3 taps!! Just look at high impact pulse’s, I miss the 2 burst all headshots! It’s those things a lot of us miss!! Lowing ttk will help with getting rid of people who need to win via team shots because a lot of people will go out on their own KNOWING they can stand again 3v1’s and win easily. It’s sad when you can burn half your clip into a guy (head shots) and get an assist out of it when you used to be able too kill him with 1/4 at optimal range
