lootboxes (*unless the game is free) are the disgrace of todays gaming and pure disrespect for the customers who paid money for the for the game.
Lootboxes (bright engrams/eververse) need to go away !
edit: i just want to clarify im not against additional ingame purchases in general , they vary and some are more fair than others , but im against random additional purchases for real money AKA LOOTBOXES , for purely ingame currency/efforts its ok to have RNG , but as long as real money is involved it needs to be straight , the place for extra skins etc. is in the official PSN/XBOX store as addon you choose, not in a real money converted virtual currency with a slot machine system

3 RespostasYou haven’t even played the game stfu
-
but you dont have to spend real money.
-
What would you think of Bungie selling additional Vault Pages (50 inventory each) for say, 500 Silver a piece?
-
Ugh I hate lootboxes in games. There’s some situations where they aren’t bad, but buying them to have random chances is a no go for me. If these had to be included, I think a good option for me would include the option to purchase specific items from these boxes. If this was the case, if you didn’t want to purchase anything, receiving random lootboxes through regular gameplay like we do now would be ok with me.
-
3 RespostasIf they just provided a fleshed out in game store that allows you to buy exactly what you want. No...they rather get children addicted to slot machines.
-
omg stfu they are cosmetic and rng to keep you playing jfc
-
it's kinda funny, it's so slow to level up 160 000 they might as well never exist ! i'm not paying money for emotes and garbage armor !
-
It is a form of gambling, if you want something, and its not on the bright dust buy list, they you must farm or buy engrams, Little Johnny might buy as many engrams as he must for that tasty tasty ramen emote, this is gambling if you pay money and ties into the xp fiasco in that they throttled it so little Johnny can only farm so many but alas must have the tasty tasty ramen emote, Who cries for little Johnny!!!??? how many engrams must little Johnny buy!!!???

4 RespostasYou cannot have it both ways. All forms of micro-transaction need to be removed from games whether purchased or free to play. What happened with star wars bf2 was inevitable. As long as these exist whether engram, loot boxes, or buying items straight up, the games will continue to be designed to maximize this revenue stream. The ONLY solution is to never spend any money on any form of micro-transaction ever. It does not matter if the game is free to play or purchased. Anyone who buys this stuff is the problem.

Editado por Corrick II: 11/29/2017 12:45:22 AMI don't care if they go away or not but I don't like that the only way to get ships or ghosts is from the bright engrams. You can get mods and shaders elsewhere but not those... It's painfully obvious why they're locked in the loot box system but why not have them also available with the other vendors or activities.
-
I disagree 100%. As long as the items are purely cosmetic, it is fine even in a AAA game
-
1 ResponderLol So u think keeping this game online only cost 60 dollars?
-
1 ResponderLootboxes like Destiny 2, and Overwatch are FINE because they are cosmetic and cosmetic ONLY. Have you even played Destiny because it seems like you just jumped onto a band wagon of hate without actually looking at what you are hating on. Lootboxes are only a problem when they are pay to win and give you advantages over other players which these do not.
-
You do know that everything in the Eververse store is IN the bright engram pool right ? you don't have to spend any money on Anything in D2. Everything in that pool is cosmetic. there is no "Pay to win" or to access content. That is a HUGE step up from D1 with a huge amount of things locked behind RNG silver purchases. Don't like it ? Don't pay any money into it. Its just that simple.
-
The only thing (apart from DLC) I ever bought on any game was a Duck Sparrow Horn. Did I need it? No Did I want it? Yes Did it make me laugh? Yes Was it worth the small amount of money? Yes Would I buy a random skin? No
-
Microtransactions like this are perfectly fine. theres nothing wrong with it when its purely cosmetic. It only becomes an issue when it becomes pay-to-win. (though like you said when the game is free its all fine)
-
Bright engrams aren’t really that bad, they are just cosmetic and aren’t necessary. Unlike battle front where its ptw. Until they changed it but you still have to play 40 hours just to unlock one hero
-
If you really think lootboxes are the biggest problem with this game, I have a tough time believing you've actually played it
-
3 Respostasbut its only cosmetics stuff...an exotic sparrow/Ship you don't need....a skin for a gun that makes no difference...a dance...or other random junk. Maybe a few blue mods..woohooo... Really nothing anyone should worry about and if you do, play a lot more and get all the stuff anyway sooner or later.
-
49 RespostasYes they do! Forcing players to visit the shop every time they rank up ... Removing the best looking sparrows and ships from end game and placing behind a pay wall... Even with silver it's RNG unlocks...Which to me, is gambling.

4 RespostasTo those saying, "You're not being forced to buy them". You're not entirely wrong, but that comes with a huge asterisk. You're invited to the store, you're pointed to the store, you're incentivized to buy at the store. Now that's a nagging little thing sitting next to you poking you in the ribs every time you go to the store, saying well it's right there. You're 400 Dust from the thing you want to buy, so buy a few engrams and get those dust packs or dismantle the crap. Hell you may get lucky and get the other thing you want. Secondly, they WERE holding us at 'gunpoint' some would say. They lied about their experience gain, they got caught and tried to say 'not as intended' which is a blatant PR lie. They are just trying to save face. Now they 'fixed' the system by DOUBLING the required experience to level, even FURTHER incentivizing purchases since the exp has been 'normalized' to about half of what it used to be by some people's calculations, check reddit/youtube, and doubled the required exp. That's 4x the amount to get free bright engrams, that STILL TAKE YOU TO THE STORE TO OPEN. Yes, it is optional, but it is also extremely annoying that the best features of Destiny 1 (the LOOKS and extraneous shit we loved) are being ransomed behind a paywall. Either your tedious hours of work, or your wallet. Pony up, bitches.

4 RespostasWhy do you care what other people spend their money on?
-
Eververse isn’t that bad now (at least for me). Because when you level up you get a free bright engram, and those can give bright dust. So those few things are enough to get the cosmetics I want (some emotes and the Titan mark because it’s cool). In my case I don’t need so much to obtain the stuff, and the ones that I wanted I got it for just playing. Now the thing it would be pretty bad if they actually HAVE some good stuff to offer and there is no way to get them even playing only with real money purchase (and we all know that you need luck to get it). And to make it worse, P4W. So in resume, if you can get those stuff just playing don’t bother me, because let’s be real. This game is so fast to Finnish that give to you plenty of time to “grind” for some of those stuff, the only time that I feel like wasting money in cosmetics are in Halloween events and Christmas... but at least I have self control (and the fact that the dollar is expensive here)

1 Responder"Microtransactions lives in all places, in all things, you can block it, even try and trap it, but Microtransactions will find its way."
-
I think we should have more items in the pool. Maybe add super bright engrams with non cosmetic items only obtainable through purchase.

1 ResponderEditado por LoganDeVil: 11/27/2017 11:41:53 PMWhat people do not understand is while yes, videogames cost more to make nowadays, the demand for videogames is higher than ever before. This is largely due to gaming widely being accepted in culture. So, before you say "lootboxes are necessary for gaming" consider this.
This is not directed at Mr W
