What is your favorite moment you've ever had in Destiny?
It's been 3 years, and I think most of us can agree that we've had quite a few awesome moments happen in Destiny.
Maybe it was an epic K/D in a Crucible match.
Maybe it was your first raid.
Maybe it was finding the purple ball in the tower.
For me, it was when I first played the Vault of Glass raid. I had a sudden realization halfway through it of: "Wow, this isn't just a super long strike with tons of tough enemies and a generic boss at the end like I was expecting. What is it actually? Not sure yet, but it's flippin' awesome, I know that."
What was [i]your[/i] favorite moment in Destiny?

For me it was acquiring the Stormcaller subclass in D1. As someone who loves thunder/lightning I was in love lol. When I found out that they brought back Stormcaller in D2 I was in love

I gotta say the time me and my buddies were doing guardian things in the tower, jumping off ledges and such while waiting for one of our members to come back and the funniest thing was is that he was at the vangaurd area and we nudged him all the way to the edge and when he comes back he goes flying off the edge and we all just die laughing in the party.

1 ResponderNot my favorite moment but definitely one of the most memorable was the Black Spindle mission. My friends and I were excited about it the day the info came out so we gave it a shot. It was one of the hardest things in the damn game! 15 tries later and 20 seconds to spare, we finally did it. I really hope they put more missions like that in D2.

A lot of moments. First one that pops into my head is getting Thunderlord at the first chest in my first VoG run through. That and how before we opened any chest the fireteam leader had us all pray to RNG-sus.

My favorite was being the master of all 3 elements. Void, Solar, and Arc... But everything changed when the cabal attacked.

I think mine was more of a memorable "holy crap" moment, like an awe inspiring moment. It was when I first got the game and played through all the missions on earth and you finish The Last Array mission. That moment when it says you've unlocked the Moon, Venus, and Mars and you finally head off of Earth and land on the Moon. It was that moment, when I looked over the Moon and reflected on that feeling I had that this was going to be a very special game in my life in the years to come was something I'll cherish forever. It's the idea of being the last bit of humanity left that has to go to all of these planets and moons to reclaim what was lost and face these monstrosities that gave me a feeling of excitement that I haven't had in a video game since. All of the expansions added to that feeling and it was made even greater when I started looking into the lore. It was also the fact that I could experience all of this with my brother, my uncle, my sister-in-law and her boyfriend that made it even more appealing. I could do these amazing things and see these amazing places with family. It was the first video game world where I could be fully immersed, where I could go all in. I truly felt like it would be amazing if this was all real. That was my greatest moment in the game. Anyways, hope D2 is even better than the first.

First time trying to do King's Fall. Started early Christmas Eve morning. I only had two friends that I knew who played at the time, so we used LFG. We were still trying when my wife came home from work and grocery shopping. I had done nothing around the house. My wife is way more dangerous than Oryx!

We always made my buddy play Striker and equip Death From Above and try to clear that gap with his super. It was hilarious watching him miss and fail every week as this blue streak of light plummeted to its death. Then one week, he made it. It was one of the most badass things I ever saw. He cleared the whole gap and fell about 500 feet to smash into the ground in a Superman landing 10 feet in front of us. The clan went nuts over the mic when he did it.

1 Responderbungie nuked me to the load screen as my raid team was doing the final dps on oryx (it was all of our first time doing oryx). ALL of them stayed and killed oryx again. amazing,

Beating Vault of Glass for the first time was a big one. It took us all week, we'd spend a night eating an encounter, getting to the next checkpoint and then have to return the next night. Finally killing Atheon felt like such a huge accomplishment after that. Another was the first time I took 1st place in rumble. Normally I suck at rumble, but that match I just kept finding myself barely winning a firefight, having just enough time for my shields to recover, and then immediately ending up in another. I knew I was doing well, but it still came as such a huge surprise to see my name at the top of the list. One moment that stood out was making a friend on patrol while I was farming spinmetal for one of the sword quests. I think this guy must have been doing the same thing cause we were both there for a long time just making our loops. Eventually our loops started syncing up. We each started waiting for the other before harvesting or opening a chest. We started using emotes to wordlessly communicate when we spotted a chest the other had missed. Every once in a while one of us would dance, presumably when we got the special version we needed for the quest. When hebfinally finished and left the patrol, I got a friend request from him. We did Court of Oryx together later that week and actually talked over fireteam chat for the first time. We never grouped up again after that, probably cause we were both shit at Court of Oryx and realized grouping together might have been a bad idea. Still, it was a really cool experience.

Lighthouse for sure. Never even played pvp until trials started. I'm talking back before lag was used to win. So much fun.

When I did a Nightfall with my clan for the 1st time. Before that I had to rely on LFG and was used to assholes. I'm sure I don't need to explain the type of people you find there to a Y1 player. And this is bacl when wiping in a NF kicked you back to orbit. We're running though, pretty early into it, I throw a grenade and......it hits something and bounces back killing me. My stomach instantly clenches expecting at the very least an annoyed comment. Instead What happened? Yeah, there's not even anything over there. I uhh.....got killed by my own grenade. <Laughter> that was unfortunate I've done that so many times

This is my new account for D2, on my old account I played D1: 24kd iron banner match. First hard run through VoG I got vex and VoC. First crota sword kill. First skolas kill. But the best was the 3-4 hours trying to take down Qodron pre-nerf. That was pure awesome!!!

Mine has to be when i played VoG for the first time ever! I was around 13 lol and i remember that i had a blue sniper and then my friend asked "have you got a better one?" And i remember just saying "No" probably my best moment EVER when It comes to gaming.
