I do think white privilege exists in America, likewise with Asian privilege in Asia and Black privilege in parts of Africa. The dominant race of people in any society will most likely be the race with the most advantages. The left and right seem to be using a false dichotomy to advance their respective ideologies. The right answer; the factual answer, more often than not falls within the middle of two extremes (in this case, white people are evil, and the concept of privilege is a falsehood). The concept of privilege is not universal to any singular group. All groups have it to some form or another, albeit in differing ways and forms.

  • Actually hispanics and blacks happen to be the most privileged in America. Whites and Asians have it the least thanks to leftism and affirmative action. Illegal hispanic immigrants are protected by the left, defended by the narrative that they should be allowed to illegally migrate because they're human beings. I think the story would be a lot different if that illegal immigrant was white. Then we have the leftist media oblivious black supremacist groups like BLM, which is an anti-white/anti-cop terror group. The democrats are confusing, throughout history they've inflicted the most pain and suffering on African Americans while Republicans try to defend their rights, then the left suddenly turns on whites.

Actually that assertion is demonstrably false. Black and Hispanic households have far worse wealth descrepencies than White households. I oppose certain forms of affirmative action that racially discriminate (i.e. diversity quotas), but I support forms that provide reparations to minority groups that have been harmed greatly by the bigoted government policies of the 19th and 20th century. Moreover, the Democratic Party of the 19th century is not today's Democratic Party. The Democrats were absolutely responsible for most of the racial woes that affect minorities today, but what's important to bear in mind is that these policies were orchestrated when the aforementioned party espoused socially and fiscally conservative ideas, whereas the Republican Party was fairly liberal in their philosophy (the main example being President Lincoln's Executive Order, known as the Emancipation Proclamation). This began to change over time, most notably in the beginning and middle of the 20th century, with the Wilson, Roosevelt and Johnson Administrations. Today's GOP is far closer to the Jacksonian Democratic Party than the GOP under Abraham Lincoln. • Eh, I can agree with you on some things but it's unfair for the democrats to label conservatives racist after what the democrats did. And I strongly think that the Republicans weren't the liberals back then, they were progressive conservatives who wanted to keep America one United States. The Democrats were the regressive liberals who wanted to change everything, break away from the US to keep their slaves. After all, most poverty ridden black cities and towns are run by democrats. That's the area they aren't privileged, mostly by a social and educational level do they hold privileges.

Today's conservatives for the most part are not racist. The problem I have with the American conservative movement has to do with a lot of the same issues I have with the American left. Both ideologies at their extreme ends reject scientific evidence to push their dogmatic beliefs into the mainstream. The right reject climate change and evolution, and the left reject the merits of nuclear power and biology. The left also have a monopoly on many of the Social Sciences and the Humanities, causing some academic fields to become politically biased. Further, the historical evidence shows that there was indeed a switch. If we attempt to analyze the politics of 19th century America, we will notice that the Democratic Party was a right-wing party that supported social and fiscal conservativism and state's rights. They were the ones that supported slavery. Andrew Jackson (1st Democratic President), was an ardent supporter of slavery. The Republican Party was socially liberal and fiscally moderate. This is demonstrated through Abraham Lincoln's Presidency. Today's Democratic Party is centrist but moving to the centre-left due to populists like Bernie Sanders gaining popularity among party ranks, whereas the Republican Party holds very similar views to the old Democratic Party. Lastly, I notice that you continue to make the assumption that Blacks and Hispanics are privileged in America, citing the education system and the existence of social welfare, but I fail to see the existence of said privilege. Schools in minority neighborhoods are drastically underfunded, and poverty among said groups force many individuals into a life of crime. The available evidence on this topic suggests that poverty and crime rates are extremely high among Black and Hispanic groups, most likely due to systemic racism throughout several generations.
