Obviously D2 is causing a lot of heat within all the forums right now, and things are looking a bit messy and I am just curious to see what the community thinks of the new IP Anthem coming out next year?...
Similar (Kind of) aspects to destiny in the sense it is set in the future, its a Action/RPG/MMO like hybrid...
Third person viewpoint is the obvious big change & instead of space magic we have exo suits called Javelins... oh and you can fly!
Other similarities we can tell from the limited reveals so far is that you and up to 3 of your friends can play together in this (What seems like) massive open world!
Now I want to see if people are considering this game as successor depending on how well D2 is received...
Will you be buying Anthem?...

Too early to tell. Anthem looks fantastic in that trailer, come release the graphics will be watered down a lot though.
-
There's no void
-
I'd want to play a beta of it first.

17 RespostasDestiny was one of the first games of it's type. A first person shooter with MMO aspects. Anthem is a game of the same class of games such as others like the Division. So Anthem will stand or fall on it's own merits as will Destiny 2 and other games which follow. For the player this means those games can learn from the successes and fails of other games and D2 has the benefit of the last 3 years of Destiny's legacy. So will Anthem replace Destiny for me no. Will I play Anthem as it's own game.. Yes. As a player I support any game developer in their efforts and wish both D2 and Anthem success.

2 RespostasHey didn't the company making that game get absorbed by an even bigger and more successful company? You can praise anthem all you want but that'll never change the fact that andromeda was what it was

Editado por ForgottenAwoken: 8/6/2017 12:49:13 PMGonna buy anthem in 2018 when it releases. Until then will play anything but a bungie game. Edit: THIS bungie

All this talk about Anthem is making me sick of Anthem. I'm not even kidding, it comes out 'maybe late 2018' or 'maybe early 2019', yet these -blam!-ing posts appear like, "Oh, since Anthem came out last week, do you think it'll save gaming? Even though we all know it'll be mediocre at best?" Like, everyone take a breather, the game has had ONE heavily scripted trailer, same shit as the Division when it was just existing.
-
>heavy scripted trailer WTF ANTHEM WILL LITERALLY SAVE GAMING
-
Anthum is bes-
Nah, I think it be a cool game to smack around on the weekends.
I'll probably be getting anthem, looks like it could be good. But then again we've seen so very little of it... Though if it comes out around the same time as metro and I only have enough for one then anthem can go fuck itself, Metro Exodus above all next year.
-
I have high hopes that anthems gonna be good cause i see d2 being kinda crap. But until i see some more gameplay and stuff about the game that isnt related to corn mazes i cant exactly put 100% faith on anthem

2 RespostasEditado por ABeardedViking: 8/4/2017 1:03:09 PMWhy wait for Anthem when you can play WarFrame right now and it's free https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vuJitrbTFY&sns=em https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FCN8ZyBDoM&sns=em

They scratch different itches. The question isn't if it will replace Destiny.
It won't
The question is if it will replace WARFRAME

Editado por RANG3R: 8/5/2017 6:16:07 AMWhere is the "need to see more" option?
-
Destiny didn't leave a void to be filled. After playing that game for longer than I care to admit, I gladly dropped the game and never thought twice about it. Unless there is some crazy turn of events I will not be purchasing or wasting time with Destiny 2.
-
1 ResponderBut we've only seen a heavily scripted gameplay trailer. We don't actually know what the game is about or what we do. No one can really make a call on how it will operate in the market alongside D2.
-
Why people never put a "no" option on these polls?
-
Skeptical for both games.
-
I'll wait for reviews before picking it up. Already been blind sided by Destiny and have watched people get tricked by plenty of other games this gen
-
2 RespostasAnthem will be over hyped game that flops day 1 like Destiny did.
-
Gotta wait and see. They showed like 10inutes of pre alpha gameplay. Once it's in beta stages I'll be making a decision
-
I was a day 1 player of destiny. I give zero shits about destiny 2. I've been asked by friends if I'd be interested in getting it and playing again. I laughed in their faces and reminded them why we stopped playing in the first place. Plenty of games coming out and already out I want to play that destiny 2 will probably never be in that list. Bungie is shell of their former self and will get no more money out of me. I'll give anthem a try but if it turns out anything like destiny I'll get a refund and be done with it.
-
I have no interest in Anthem or Destiny 2.
-
1 ResponderAnthem sounding pretty cool. The best of Bioware's story guys I hear; so definitely going to give it a shot. Great thing is that it doesn't come out till late next year, so Destiny 2 in the meantime :)

1 ResponderEditado por aboniks: 8/3/2017 8:55:39 PMI'll preorder Anthem once it's available, same as I did with D2. I can afford to play both, from the perspective of free time and disposable income, and I'll play them until I get bored with them. There are lots of games I'll play between now and whatever date Anthem eventually releases. And plenty of games afterwards. I've got Shadow of War on preorder, and I can't wait to see what Ninja Theory did with Hellblade, preordered DLC for Zero Dawn, etc. I get that there are people out there who pick one game and focus on it exclusively for years...I used to do that with WoW, ages ago I did that with Marathon, but most of the market doesn't spend their time or money that way anymore.
