I believe this is the default state of conversation about a topic, specifically political/gender/race issues.
Is taking something at the first glance good enough for you?
Please answer truthfully, the poll is anonymous but if you wish to discuss feel free to leave a comment.

2 RespostasI didn't know only 37 percent of off-topic were liberals
-
If I do, I make it obvious citations are needed. This hot drilled into my head when I was in college.
-
All the time. People who said no are lying
-
Yes. Sometimes I can learn that way and people will also be doing my homework for me.

1 ResponderPolitical issues are argued over emotion and opinion rather than fact. People like to latch on to any evidence that supports their pre-existing opinion, and immediately discredit anything that doesn't. I think we're all guilty of this to some degree, but it makes politics a toxic subject.
-
1 Responder99% of the worlds problems could be solved if people knew what the -blam!- they were talking about.

19 RespostasHow can you consider yourself educated on a subject these days? For every bit of knowledge we have, there is just as much proof that it is false. How do you decide? I took sexual education as a college course 10 years ago. At that time, there was male, female & hermaphrodite. The biggest question they asked was, "If you child was born with both sexes, what would you do & why?" You had to research & give your reasons for your choice. We were taught a history that most the youth of today have no idea about. How many young people today even know what muckraking or yellow journalism. My folks were taught that in the event of an atomic bomb, you just duck under your desk & you will be fine. Christopher Columbus was certain the world was round & that he had landed in India, which is why they were called Indians for so long. Eggs were good for you, then they became bad for you, then they became good again, and now only the white part of the egg is good for you. Gay meant happy, queer meant weird, -blam!- was a bundle of sticks for burning. Now they are words of hate. We were taught that your vote only mattered on the local level, but how you registered gave the electoral college the power to vote for you & your vote only mattered if the electoral college tied up, then it went to the popular vote. That changed when people stopped voting because they were tired of picking the lesser of 2 evils, so a new campaign started with Vote or Die. Fossil fuels were going to last forever. Superman was once a very intelligent investigative reporter who solved most of his cases with his brain, not his brawn. Batman did not need throat lozenges. So, how can we discuss anything as even well studied individuals, when it gets changed to suit someone's narrative on any given day?

4 RespostasHi, you must be new here
-
I used to pretend I knew about politics. I essentially resembled that of a piss stained homeless man babbling straight nonsense.
-
I talk about women all the time.
-
All the time. In fact i am doing so right now.
-
Editado por Nanor: 5/3/2017 11:01:44 PMYes the whole time. It's a great way of annoying someone.
-
I'm not educated enough 2 answer this
-
64% are dishonest.
-
Everybody does. If someone says they don't they're lying.
-
I keep coming back to this post (as evident by all the Ghostmimes) and repeatedly get baffled by the poll. Most of those noes are blatant lies. Be honest with yourselves, guys.
-
4 RespostasI try not to but... yes. All the time. Largely because I'm convinced that on many topics the other person knows even less, and I feel confident my generalized knowledge is deeper than theirs.
-
Yes because then I can get some of that KNOWLEDGE!
-
Editado por Nerin: 5/3/2017 4:36:29 AMYes I do, because I can learn more about the subject and people's opinions on it in order to form my own. Of course I'll research it later if it interests me and I can form a more solid and confirmed opinion on the conversation topic.
also you have to take into consideration of how much is really true and how much is really false.
-
If I find a discussion interesting then I may join in without the proper knowledge. I try to stick to what is logical, and avoid saying anything as an absolute.
-
Who doesn't?
-
If I don't know about a topic, I google it and get educated

3 RespostasHi, I'm Max, and I know everything and everyone else is wrong.

8 RespostasShould definitely be more than just the two options because it really depends on the topic at hand
-
Depends upon the issue at hand

I feel like the people who put other/undecided as an option just want a penis poll. ~ Making America Great Again ~
