......don't give up. Tonight's the first night in a while i got a chance to run a few cards and, i'd love to say something really inspiring like something magical happened (it didn't), or everything finally came together and we made it to the lighthouse (it didn't and we didn't). I'm actually finding trials tougher as the weeks have progressed, our highest tonight only managing 4 wins (including boons). However, my team did snatch a few surprise wins against guys with ornaments and we did make some good plays, which was a positive.
I just know that, if any of you are anything like me, then you'll probably take tomorrow to reflect on missed chances, grenades that just didn't do what they were meant to, reloads that were badly-timed etc. I just want to say 'focus just as much on what you did right as what you did wrong'. Whether that be good positioning, communication, team-shotting whatever. Don't be disheartened. The climb begins again in a few days and who knows, maybe this time you'll get less stacked teams/better connections/a map you're better suited to.
So, don't lose heart; don't let your head drop; and, whatever you do, don't play angry! 👍

2 RespostasI've actually had tougher games against teams that look worse than against teams with high KD and ELO. I think it's because they play completely different usually or whatever. Anyways I've been having a tough time (especially last week) with trials lately. I feel as though people get anxious when they know they're going against a better team (at least on paper) and make mistakes more, but I think it'd be more fun and chill if everyone just focused on having fun and taking losses with a grain of salt. Anyways glad to see your post, good luck to you and everyone else in trials.

1 ResponderEditado por pulvis ira: 12/29/2016 8:20:53 PMGreat post. For the below-average schmo, it's all about the bounties. Literally anything beyond that is gravy :) Oh, and I also hear it helps to start early Friday while most kids are at school and adults are at work. But don't play angry, that's the key!

1 ResponderBeen flawless 30x and im below average according to the trials population. 1.26 kd, been holding a 1.5 the last few weeks. 1500 elo. Its a nightmare. A solid 70% of matches we get are against people with 1800's and above. We can beat these guys, but not 5 times in a card. I really want anyone under an 1800 to just not play for a weekend and watch all the sweaties cry.

1 ResponderBump! My best ever is 6 wins (with boons) and I was somewhat carried in that. I still like to play though.. especially since they made the sexy year 2 Trials gear drop randomly after matches. My Titan has a full set. I'm trying to get the full sets on my other two characters.
-
1 ResponderThanks. I suck at Trials and lose often. This is good to hear.

1 ResponderWe need more like you in the forums.

1 ResponderBelow average in Trials would be a vast improvement for me lol

1 ResponderI honest to God have only ever played like 2 Trials matches since HoW and have a few more Elimination games. I hated it. I've heard the stories and seen/heard many of the many instances of DDOSing and other underhanded tricks and schemes like paying actual money for carries which you may have to pay in advance for, might not get it and are now out anywhere from $50-$150. I'm glad I haven't subjected myself to that. To me, Trials is the worst thing about this game. It brings out the worst in the playerbase, divides the community and in my opinion, was one of the causes of Bungie's nerfing to off the literal deep end. If Trials is your thing and you legitimately enjoy it and don't screw over others who play, more power to you. But I just can't tolerate or condone it.

12 RespostasNever done ToO. I do like pvp but reading all the posts on here about it, it just sounds too serious and unless you've got a positive KD your gonna get battered every game.

8 RespostasI mean no disrespect but this kind of reads as you trying to lead lambs to the slaughter. "Don’t give up. Keep trying!" They only have the slimmest of a chance of going Flawless. However nothing against you OP. You might honestly be genuine, while I've grown jaded. I've gotten use to seeing these "Hardcore" PVPers say similar messages but in the end many of them are trying to boost the number of lesser skilled teams for some easy wins. They say: "You need to stick with it. If you get eliminated, get another card. Keep trying! You will eventually get it." Then in another thread they brag about how they deliberately get new cards to stop people from going Flawless. So in truth their "positive" message translates to: "We need more folks/fodder to kill so our ToO matches won't be so damn hard." As the PVP pop gets lower ToO will become harder and harder just like Regular Crucible is. No SBMM to save anyone in ToO, and Crucible seems to be not to far behind. Honestly...and its an unpopular opinion but if they removed the whole Flawless thing. A lot more people would play & stick out Trials. Right now its "Flawless or Bust." Once teams lose their mercy & lose again they give up on that card or Trials period. I get the need for the incentive. I think they should change it to loot amount. 9-0 = Like 10 items. 8-1 = 9 items and etc...

7 RespostasIt has gotten noticably harder which I expected. Basically the average teams you face are in the 1.3 range for me. A lot more carries now. BUT Ive still gone flawless with people in the .7 k/d range. -You just have to get everyone on the same page. You cant have a single guy on your team running off by himself. -You need to know when to use your supers. This is the main thing I see scrubs do wrong. If its a 1v3 dont use your super if you are the 1 or even if your team is the 3. -Dont panic at Control time. Let the other team panic then kill them as they stand in the zone. -Use meta. No, Your Monte Carlo isnt the best weapon for you to use The main thing I notice about players who cant go flawless vs players who can is the players who cant go flawless only play Destiny on the weekend and they play other games during the week. Trials is the hardest thing in Destiny so dont expect to hop on for a couple hours each weekend and beat the best players who dedicate their time to the game.

5 RespostasOr simply don't do trials, maybe that way Bungie will actually give a crap about PVE content and stop just adding the new enemy (which is the same but with a new look) to old strikes.

1 ResponderDid you just assume my gender?!

10 RespostasEditado por MFN_blessthefall: 12/28/2016 5:18:36 AMThis weekend we had 544 thousand less players in trials from when roi dropped. This past weekend we were down around 36k from the weekend prior. Trials is in a really bad place with the population dropping at a alarming rate. I will play one or two cards for bounties a weekend but i will not continue to really try until a major overhaul occurs

10 RespostasI don't know why everyone is so big on trials. I strive to be the best in 6v6s over trials. Trials often comes down to who snipes best when you get into higher tier matches or who has pro reflexes playing on the fastest sensitivity to close distance without being touched only to shotgun you from a meter away.

3 RespostasEditado por Xinkwi-Xkuk: 12/27/2016 11:05:45 PMI used to be above average Trials player (probably because last year(s) player base so huge more not so great players). Made light house Multiple Times, any times felt easy. Fast forward to today, and I'm trash. Struggle some weeks to get four wins! Lol It's ok, I'm questing to get better. (And questing most the time with an Auto Rifle lol ) But I hear your call fellow brother. Let's keep questing till Destiny 2. And when it launches our skills will be sharp, and we can own the noobs once again. Lol Hopefully by D2 I myself can stop being a noob. I don't know how I went from hero to zero in my game play (I suspect some bad choices, auto nerfs, and Sunsinger nerf, but I choose to play those so it's my fault for my choices...) But I keeping on, as my friend coined the term here here to TPA! (The people's alternates)

4 RespostasI personally think anyone can go flawless. If you go to destinytrialsreport.com and look how much the community is shrinking compared to a year ago, that has a lot to do with average players going flawless. At this point if your'e an average player you just have to luck out on the teams you're matched up against.

10 RespostasMe and a couple buddies got 7 wins last night, our 8th game we got eliminated... :( We're not very good at trials by any means, but I ended up getting the pulse rifle with some pretty awesome rolls! I was excited about that part lol. Its tough but we keep on trying..

9 RespostasJust hard scope, that's all it has been in my experience

15 RespostasI wish I could be good at 3v3. :/ I bet Trials is amazing when you're actually good at it.
