I was having issues getting the $30 version of Rise of Iron in the Xbox store, so I ended up pre-ordering through Gamestop and my code came in today but all it did was add $30 to my Microsoft account. I contact Microsoft support and they said that Bungie is only allowing pre-orders of the Collection which I have everything in already. So am I just screwed out of the pre-order bonuses cause I won't be able to get just Rise of Iron till it releases at 5 AM my time tomorrow?
Another question, will I have to wait till it's available at 5 AM EST or will I be able to get on at midnight and start the download and then sleep till 5? Dunno if anyone knows that yet.
Edit: talked to Xbox support about it, and somehow my second account had the Taken King code applied to it even though I didn't play Destiny at all on it till after I had already beaten Oryx on Hard on this account. But they can't transfer it between my accounts so I'm -blam!-ed. I basically have to pay $30 more to even play the -blam!-ing game. So angry right now.

31 RespostasEditado por LuigiTheClown: 9/19/2016 6:32:07 PMFor those of you that preordered through Gamestop: 1) Go to Xbox Store 2) Click Use a Code 3) Redeem code given by Gamestop (turns out it is just a $30 Microsoft gift card) 4) Now that you have the $30 credit ignore the Xbox Store. 5) Launch your game. 6) Click on the yellow Rise of Iron symbol that is to the top right of Earth in the Director. 7) Click Purchase and go through the checkout process. 8) Close Destiny and open My Games and Apps. 9) Go to Destiny, click stark and click Manage Game. 10) You should see two things: - Destiny: Rise of Iron, 10 MB, Pre-ordered - Iron Gjallarhorn and Iron Gjallarwing Sparrow Pre-order Bonus, 10 MB, Pre-Ordered (depending on how quickly you closed Destiny and opened My Games and Apps you'll see those in either Ready to install or already under Installed) Hope that helps everybody. Happy hunting tomorrow!

6 RespostasIf you search "Rise of Iron" then you'll get the one that cant be downloaded. However if you search "Pre-order : Rise of Iron" then it should come up correctly. Or at least that's what I had to do when i pre-ordered on the 9th.

1 ResponderThe exact same thing happened to me. Now RoI is released and we can no longer pre-order and its only The Collection thats available....wtf I already bought everything since Day 1...seems like they dont care
-
The fact that this has been an issue for this long and hasn't been addressed is absolutely absurd. I know Sony is paying you for exclusives. But believe it or not there's people that play on Xbox.

1 ResponderOmfg I just signed onto the account the rest of my fam uses and noticed that it would let me Pre-order there. I'm dead inside now. I was able to download the season pass for The Division on my account even though the game was purchased on the other one and it still worked out fine. I didn't think it wouldn't work for Destiny >.<

2 RespostasWish the guy at the store had specifically said it was MICROSOFT POINTS i was buying..... All Im seeing on the store is the "bundle only" nonsense.....
-
Type in "Pre-Order: Rise of Iron" and it should come up. I've literally JUST done this and have it all queued...... Ridiculous that it doesn't show on the store yet the main bundle is front page news.......
-
1 ResponderAre you game sharing with a friend? If so did they buy TTK?
-
1 ResponderOn the Xbox store there's actually two different Rise of Iron items, both of which being labeled as "Add-On." One of them allows you to pre-order, while the other one doesn't even give you an option to do so. I'm not sure if other people have this same thing, but I just pre-ordered through the one that actually let me do so.

5 RespostasEditado por DoubleOZero: 9/19/2016 5:09:04 PMTry pre-ordering through the Xbox app or your Xbox One Console. Pre ordering throught Xbox.com currently does not work for Rise of Iron. Edit: I pre-ordered Rise of Iron few mins ago through the Xbox App and it worked.

If you own the taken King. You have to go through the game map and press on the icon to purchase rise of iron. Has to be done while you're taken King is running.
-
Had this issue. Make sure you have all DLCs downloaded on that account. Launch destiny. It should bring the page up.
-
I had the exact same issue as you with Gamestop. Except I live in the UK and they sold me a USD code which i can't even redeem here. Buying Rise Of Iron from anywhere in the UK now is only available if you play PS4. I, like you, already have the Legendary Edition so have all the other DLCs, making the Collection pointless. I only hope i'll be able to buy it from Microsoft when it goes live. I just think a pre order should be available for all platforms and players until release date. Now I have no Gjallahorn bonus, no Rise Of Iron and i'm down $30.
-
I keep checking mine to make sure i still have it and My Game and Apps shows I have the pre-order installed. What kills me is why Bungie and Microsoft is having such an issue with this, similar things happened when TTK came out. PSN has no issues to my knowledge. Especially this close to the DLC drop, no shocker that Microsoft support is unhelpful too. I shouldn't have to keep checking and verify I have it. If u search rise of iron it should come up with the pre-order for RoI and the bonuses, it had me download the install, wasn't much about 50 MB I think or so can't remember. My game & apps shows both as installed. Hope u can get it before it drops.

2 RespostasI already know this has been answered, just got orbit and buy it from the little icon there. But why? Why is the standalone dlc missing in the Xbox store?
-
My buddies and I literally had no issues buying 3 separate copies from the Xbox store. And we did the GameStop thing as well, added 30 to our accounts and then each of us bought it on our separate consoles.
-
https://www.destinythegame.com/wheretobuy Have you tried through here? I know I wasn't able to make it go through on xbox.com. (I pre-ordered back in August) My work won't let me buy games here...go figure!

3 RespostasThe same thing happened to me except my xbox store wont let me preorder anything it just says error contact support. I contacted them and they had to reset my payment setttings in my account and it could take up to 3 days! So even though i preordered through gamestop, it wont let me complete the purchase on my xbox one. So basically I wont get the preorder extras now which is unfair. Bungie please help.
-
11 RespostasI had the same issue, but I was able to get it by ordering it where the trailer is located on the in-game map. Once I purchased it, the dlc and pre-order bonus showed up on Ready to Install.
-
2 Respostasyou do have TTK right? I don't think you can pre-order it without having the other expansions
-
27 RespostasDoes anyone understand why on the Xbox.com store when you search "Rise of Iron" that the Add-On itself is not clickable at all? I'm trying to help a number of friends try and do their last minute pre-orders and this has been going on far to long.
-
Make sure you're signed in at the xbox store or it won't give you an option to buy/pre-order. It will be grayed out and I also pre-ordered from Gamestop.
-
8 RespostasMy receipt from GameStop came with 3 codes one for the $30 and two more one for each preorder bonuses look at your receipt again.
-
I too am having this issue, I hope that Bungie has some way of helping us make sure we get the pre-order bonus, since neither GameStop nor Microsoft Support have any idea what is going on. I spent too darn long on the phone only to learn that. Everyone wanted me to talk to someone else until finally I ended up here. :(
-
Im having the same issue. I'm kind of upset, I mean if gamestop said in the product details that I'm buying a gift card for my account to get the game post release then I'd have been fine. But that's not the case. They said it was a digital download for rise of iron. So, false advertisement???
