4 RespostasMake elemental cores to infuse into any weapon. That would give Destiny true gun diversity

2 RespostasThere's no reason for primary elemental weapons. The only use you'd have is for the nightfall which drops awful loot. Give me one good you'd want them?

Editado por Reshsafari: 8/19/2016 7:08:24 AMPerhaps all exotics should be elemental. But not legendaries.

1 ResponderThey should make an exotic gun called ''The Adapter''. When you should an enemy with a shield you get the element of the shield on your gun for 10 seconds. If enemies don't have shields the damage stays kenetic.
-
4 RespostasSame post, same argument. Use special weapons if shields are that much of a bother to you, otherwise having elemental damage on a primary weapon only provides help in a matching Nightfall modifier set. Speaking of which, it seems everyone is doing just fine and managing beautifully in the Nightfalls even though they don't have primary weapons with elemental damage. Could it be that players don't actually need them?

They either need to go with the elemental core idea everyone throws around, or they need to completely drop the elemental system all together and stick with modifiers like small arms, etc... I say this because as long as people have elemental primaries sitting in their vaults, this will be an issue. I'd love to have my year one guns back.

79 RespostasEditado por AXELXu7: 8/15/2016 12:39:54 AMI'm sorry, but if you mean elemental legendary primaries, then hell no. Mine and nearly everyone else's primary exotics languished in the vault collecting dust because of elemental legendary primaries. Stop pretending like they aren't a big deal. They make any other guns worthless for PvE. Vender rolls? Worthless. Armsday? Worthless. Strike-specific loot? Worthless. Exotics? Worthless for 90% of activities. Why would any pve player pick up a weapon with no advantages over one with situational advantages and no drawbacks? If you can have a sportscar or a sports car that also has indestructible tires, why would anyone choose the first sportscar? The real reasons you want elemental primaries back is because the TTK raid weapons were of unweildy archetypes. You just want power. It doesn't help that the will of light perk isn't animated or colored, so I'm guessing a lot of you don't know those weapons come with bonus damage against taken because America has become illterate. And if you've played strikes, you would know how prevalent and annoying those little fvcks are. And if you're not running strikes, then you're a PvP player coming over to ruin PvE because it's too hard with kinetic primaries. Tell me, what gun do you kill ads with in destiny? Now tell me what gun you use to kill grunts in Titanfall/Halo? That's right. Your primary is a sidearm for dispatching trash mobs, it doesn't need to be strong. The problem is psychology. You want your first weapon to be the best because that's how you've been programmed by society. But that ricky-bobbyesque ideology can be overcome with analytical thought. Exotic elemental primaries, I'm cool with. Let it be a factor or a gimmick. I'm even okay with elemental cores as long as you have to go through hell to get them. Like, Y1 nightfall with no cheeses and a limited number of lives and continues, to balance out how much easier pve will be with that core. I'm even okay with elemental primaries so long as they do less damage to unshielded enemies. (Not totally nerfed, just enough to make you seriously wonder if you're choosing the elemental because of pretty colors.)

Elemental primaries make almost no difference whatsoever, unless there is a burn. But even if there is, a sniper will still be the better option.

Bump. Let people have the option to use elemental primaries. If people don't want to use them because it limits their options, let them make that choice. Let others continue to have fun. The argument for and against elemental primaries is already settled. It is not about NEED. It is about FUN. And life was a lot more fun when we had them. At the end of the day after we grind away endgame content for months and months, we OUGHT to occasionally get a weapon that actually reduces the grind and increases enjoyment of the game the way elemental primaries did. Ignore whiny players in this post who cry about how "elemental primaries limit diversity." This would NEVER be the case so long as they are implemented properly (by giving us elemental cores we can put into whatever guns we want). We have given you all the answers you need Bungie. All you need now is a good programmer and the will to tell Luke Smith to shove it because he's been overruled by the masses on the subject.

1 ResponderBump. It only changes PVE so there's really no reason to complain about this like people have been about PVP all this time. It contradicts the progress of technology we have incinerary bullets EVEN IN THE WORLD TODAY! If people want to complain saying it's too unrealistic then Destiny CLEARLY isn't for them. You have people coming back to life & all kinds of thing considered unrealistic, so yeah... Not like were pushing it so that now having 3 subclasses makes it FINALLY, so that solar weapons hurt sunsinger, golden gun, and sun breaker more being solar / having solar shielding. Some people might even find it interesting to have a PVP match different from the normal set up of crucible like Mayem that only comes around once in a while where it actually takes such into account in how burned weapons do more against the correlated subclass. But to also put an idea out there that people are going on about is further acknowledging the progressing of technology & purpose of the gunsmith where we can get a core from Xur or something like the Raid or Nightfall where we take our gun to the gunsmith with said core to turn both in until next Arms Day where we receive our gun back with a burn applied in some way or another whether it's random or can't ever be undone, idk. Just putting ideas out there. There's so many ways to back a cake... Maybe it could even be much like Chromas I know people are talking about that too. Maybe turn in the gun & exotic shard into the gunsmith giving it a random burn, making it have a burn while taking up our exotic weapons lot? Irdk. Just shooting ideas out there. They use to have re-roll even in Iron banner & now that's gone. People would also argue that makes things contradicting as well & it really wasn't that OP some people had to BUST THEIR @$$ for a good roll just as much as one had to for the gun to drop randomly with good perks anyways =/

In nightfalls I'd base my load out on the burn as well as the shields the enemies had. Void burn meant I'd go with a void primary like Atheon's epilogue. If the nightfall was hive- solar sniper for them and an arc machine gun to take down the Knights with arc shields. Elemental primaries made sure you had all bases covered.

It was a nerf to us. Plain and simple. While it was more or less true that the original raid weapons throttled are PvE weapon usage. Another way to fix the issue would have simply been to give all weapons elemental damage, instead of outright taking it away. Their other excuse was that it would devalue "special and heavy weapons". Which frankly? no it would have not. We use snipers in PvE for strong, ranged DPS. We use Heavies to kill things ASAP. If we have to, we even use unmatched elemental special and heavies on shields. Even if we still had Legendary elemental primaries, we'd still be pulling out are snipers, rockets, and LMG's to make that 2 story zealot robot dead because it would be much faster at the job. It would not devalue them at all. It did not do that in year 1 (well, 'cept when you put small arms on with an elemental burn, which then HC's and Scouts almost hit as hard as snipers) It's that they didn't like is burning our way through Nightfalls, from the safety of cliffs, with nothing but an elemental scout. Or blowing up entire mobs with a single fatebringer round of foes that normally couldn't be killed by a Firefly explosion. It's why a lot of their new mission designs put us closer to the danger. It's why they reduced play burn modifier bonus from x3 to x2. The only let Zhalo be elemental because A: It's an Auto Rifle. B: It's exotic The reason A matters is because even if both Arc Burn and Small arms is on, you have to put yourself closer to the danger to use it than a scout or even an HC. B: matter because if Arc Burn is on, it means it's disuading you from using another arc exotic like Thunderlord or Boltcaster (not that they can't be replaced by legendary variants). Yet here we are, continuing to blow through their Nightfalls with elemental burns, sitting as far back as possible, sniping. Just make it a thing Bungie, yah already spoiled us with them, and they honestly do not harm the game. They should be available to any gun, but if you still want to make them "Raid Rewards" make it a special infusion material that we can choose what we add it to. That way there's no issue with the "Throttled primary slot"

I have a funny feeling they might. Need to give a us reason to go after new gear especially when our current gear (including God Rolls) can be infused further.
-
Will never happen as long as Luke smith is at bungie
-
An exotic that can switch between all elements would be cool too
-
2 RespostasI don't think bungo will agree to all primary weapons having a burn but they should at least make all exotic primary have an elemental burn
-
Bump. And if they make elemental primaries a thing, there is absolutely zero reason to leave Y1 gear behind in Y1. So DOUBLE BUMP.
