I hardly ever lag on Destiny now that I've opened all my ports, opened NAT and I am hard wired upload at 10mbps and 100 mbps and I have roughly 10-12 devices on my network. Unfortunately I can't control players that constant red bar and warp all over the map. Worst part is 9/10 times those red bars are on top of the leaderboard. I am on xbone and say I can't believe how many players lag. My buddy plays on both xbone and ps4 and he has disclaimed that last iron banner on xbone there was lag all over but on ps4 there was barely any lag and all games went very smoothly. After doing a little research I've come to an understanding xbone players either lag more or just lag on purpose giving them an upper hand. Destiny PS4 and Destiny Xbone are ran off identical servers with very little differences. So if they run off almost identical servers and PS4 has approximately 80% less lag. The players can't control there Internet speed for area, location, and price that's understandable. The player can control "setup" if you don't have ports open, open NAT, and a good connectivity then you are responsible and reliable for lag you create. I've come across some players and friends that have closed ports and lowered there data to there xbone just to get that red bar. So in many formalities and research it's not the game nor game server 9/10 it's the player.
