So the girlfriend and I have Universal Orlando Annual Passes. I pay 20 dollars a month for each of us as a birthday present for her since February. I have a full time job and work quite often compared to her and can't always go to Orlando to hit Universal. We live about 100 miles out of Orlando Florida and it takes about 1/2 to 3/4 of a tank of gas to get there and back and we hit up some toll roads both there and back and costs about 5 dollars each way (10 dollars round trip). Now that we go that out of the way onto the issue. So the girlfriend has gone to Universal the past 2 weeks twice with her best friend, I couldn't go due to the fact one of those days I worked and the other day I was broke and couldn't afford going (first of the month and what not). So she said Saturday that this Wednesday, August 3rd, she would pay for me to go so I could go with them. Awesome I'm excited to go, haven't been there in a month or so. Yesterday I had found out that I got a little extra cash that came in that night because of some stock I have with a company (woo-hoo dividend checks). I told her it's alright babe I can afford myself now. It is always assumed that if I go that I drive because I have a nicer car plus good mileage and she hates driving okay whatever. Tonight after work she drops the bombshell on me that neither her or her friend were going to pay for any gas or tolls during this trip that it is the drivers responsibility to pick these tabs up. She and her friend "agreed" upon this the last time they both went (keep in mind I was not a part of that excursion). So normally the gf pays for my lunch/dinner to get me back on the gas but now it's expected of me to foot that whole bill plus get my own food while at the park. I ask her why that is and she tells me "I don't have the money to give any gas money to you/you are driving us so you should pay for it and the next time we go you won't have to pay." Once again, I didn't go the last two times and she expecting me to pay every time I drive. WHICH IS EVERY TIME WE GO TOGETHER. She gets pissed off at me and says that she isn't going to pay for my crap and that I need drive and pay. Tolls are 10 dollars, 10 gallons of gas is 20 dollars. So getting there and back would be 30 dollars total plus I'm putting miles on my own vehicle and to -blam!-ing top it off I'M DRIVING?! How is this fair? Also keep in mind I'm paying 40 a month for these damn tickets too... rage post is rage. Update: Just broke up with the Girlfriend earlier today, it's officially over. The only shitty part. I have to survive a month in the apartment with her. I talked civil about and she seems to understand. But my name is literally on everything so I hope she tries my life. (Would stay in the apartment myself but the best friend is looking for a place to live and we have goals set at pinewood terrace)
