Huge hit to neutral game? No, not really. They just tweaked it. They made it so that the laughably overpowered combo of burn grenade and firebolt isn't as effective, compared to the other classes. Nothing in anyone else's kit takes you out of a fight for that long. It brought them in balance with the rest, and those that relied on it now need to adapt and overcome man.

Skip nades can chase for 12 seconds. And their neutral game did take a huge hit, that is a fact.

Sunsinger had its neutral game go from 8/8 to 5/8, that's a pretty big hit.

Haven't played seriously in months, but from what I'm hearing Sunsingers are practically nonexistent for the most part. Is there anyone who wasn't expecting Bungie to overnerf what didn't need it?

Yeah, all the kids that used nothing but firebolts are gone. Real Sunsingers adapted and use fusion nades. And we are still hated for it.

I mostly used Voidwalker and Vortex/Scatter grenades. When using Sunsinger I'd like to throw a Solar grenade before shooting them to get them to back up into it.

Solar nades are trash now without Viking Funeral. Before, you'd get off a good 120 damage and have area control, now you get like 80.

I also heard that the new VF actually lowers damage dealt to the affected targets.

Nah, that's a myth. It just deals so little it may as well do nothing.
