As much as I HATE, LOATHE, and DESPISE PvP, I ground out all 25 sword kills for two characters without boosting or cheating in any way, even though it took me more than SIX MONTHS and I still have one character to go.
But this Jolly Holiday quest? I had a lucky match and ended with 23%. Then, after trying my hardest in two matches today until I finally gave up, unequipped, and left the match - something I've never done before, I'm now down to 15%.
At this rate, unless I have phenomenal luck in five matches in a row, my choices are as follows:
1. Turn my account over to another player so he can complete the quest for me.
2. Boost.
3. Give up on the whole thing.
So, is it time for me to boost? Or is the reward for this quest another piece of crap like the Sleeper Simulant?
Edited to add:
MAYHEM CLASH IS WHERE I LOST THE MOST POINTS. RUMBLE I CANNOT DO AT ALL. AND I ALMOST NEVER GET ANY HEAVY WEAPON AMMO; I THINK I'VE DONE IT TWICE.
MY CHOICES ARE BOOST, GET A FRIEND TO DO IT FOR ME, OR GO WITHOUT.

Just wait and hope for Sparrow Racing League to return and equipment The Last Word while racing.

Boosting is a bs tactic that is banable

3 RespostasEditado por Wr3ckitR4lph: 7/8/2016 6:53:43 PMHere are your tips for success in the jolly Holliday quest Don't have tlw equipped at all times, especially if you're not great with it (like me) equip the last word when you get heavy ammo and get heavy kills Equip tlw when your super is up, get some kills, and the. Unequip. Multi kills are more bonus points. If you're about to win a match, equip tlw. If you're going to lose, unequip it. Just do these things over and over, and you can slowly grind out the quest step with a lot less stress. This is how I did it. Good luck!
also, sleeper Simulant is a beast
1 ResponderMayhem Clash is the weekly. Equip TLW when your super comes up, get double/triple+ kills. When super is expended unequip it. You get the most points not from single kills, but from multi kills and kill streaks. And having it equipped during a match win gets you 3 points, so do that.
-
Hit me up we can get it in 5 matches or less I'll provide the friends
-
Step 1: go back in time. Step 2: play SRL with the last word equipped Step 3: ... Step 4: profit.
-
Equip TLW Git gud Go unbroken ? Profit

Boost. Boosting works well. Also, some general tips to help with gaining percentage in situations where boosting is impossible(i.e. Rumble only allows fireteams of three). 1. Hide like a little bitch. Rushing is not your best option unless you have amazing PvP skill(you already said you don't, so don't rush). 2. Pace yourself. Seek the moment to seize a kill, then take it. 3. Super multikills. Stow it away until you can get a nice triple or double down. 4. Set goals. Play until you hit, say, 15%. Then, stop completely. Allow yourself some time before you can resume your rampage of percentage. This way, you don't get too cocky the farther you go, and previous rage or doubt is given time to disapate. Good luck Guardian!

SRL .......
saved my life when it came to this bounty, but that was back when the last word was super Nerfed and complete unusable. Now it's pretty OP again so it shouldn't be as hard.........but I still feel the pain of your struggle good sir! And I wish you luck in your endeavors
-
Back in the SRL days... Yeah, I finished my races with the Last Word equipped.
-
You can get every exotic sword on one character so idk why you're doing it on every one lol

3 RespostasWhat is boost?

-

2 RespostasEditado por RingersCheckmate: 7/8/2016 7:24:19 PMI love and adore the chaperone as my favorite exotic of them all. Used to be patience and time, but with people hating on snipers now I've resorted to the chaperone. I finished my quest over the course of about three days, my first time actually trying. Spending a good two-three hours in skirmish trying.
Then, I told my friends to get it. One of them said "If you want me to use it, do the quest for me." And so, I downloaded his account and after about five hours finished it for him. I then did it for two other friends, and shortening the time down to an hour. I did the quest once more on my little brothers account, over the course of like five skirmish games.
So, pretty much the trick is to NOT DIE and get consistent kills with one type of weapon or ability for more progress. Going on a 10 kill streak with the last word only can net a good 40% easy, if not more. I say one type of weapon/ability because I went on a 5 kill streak with the last word one time, then I got a special weapon kill and received no progress.
-
2 RespostasTLW is really not a bad gun. Choose your favourite game mode, use a complementary special weapon and dont think about the rest. Boosting is the last resort. Don't do it.
-
I did it by myself on Xbox. Switched over to PlayStation a couple months ago. I have every intention on boosting this time. Screw that quest, I'm not doing it twice lol
-
Just play salvage that's how I done mines.
-
Sleeper is the strongest exotic in the game right now. Are you dumb?
-
Equip it in mayhem rumble and just use your shotty, super, and heavy
-
I did the shindig in the crucible in a couple matches. (Look at my stats I suck) Play it smart, it's not that bad?
-
Ok so for that quest you need a 2.0 to not loss any %.
-
Sleeper is awesome.

If y1 hunters could complete the thorn quest without atheon's epilogue/word of crota/void primaries, you can beat jolly holiday on your own.
