Midas Multi-tool for PvE?
Need some advice, I play mainly PvE and don't play enough so strange coins are still very valuable to me.
Is the Midas worth buying for mainly PvE? I keep hearing the nerf really messed it up in PvE.. The added agility seems really enticing as I enjoy mu characters to have good movement speed.
Currently I have 3 characters, 1 of each class and only have 2 other Legendarys. Bad Juju and Thunderlord.
Can any vets offer advice if it's worth picking up? It will be awhile till I get the dead orbit scout rifle. Perhaps this would be a worthy stop gap with the added bonus of a PvP weapon when rarely needed?

3 RespostasFor PvE? I used mida a good deal in y1 after they gave it high caliber rounds. Now that they've removed that I can't think of a good reason to use it other than if you need to run somewhere fast.

1 ResponderEditado por cmburch: 7/8/2016 5:55:03 PMRun the daily Vanguard bounties and turn them in each day for each character. Everytime rank up with vanguard/faction/cryptarch/gunsmith get 4 SC. Use SC for 3oC and any exotics you are missing. The Mida will help with all Destiny activities. Taking down enemies rapidly and at a distance. Easy to get precision headshots. The +2 agility is great.

Mida is a great weapon in every aspect. Pick it up, I promise you won't regret it.

MIDA is great for everything dude! It has a fairly large magazine compared to most year 2 scout rifles. It makes you move and strafe extremely quickly and it is incredibly accurate. Long story short, it's definitely worth picking up.

Used to be fun to use in PvE, but not since they nerfed it. Sitting in my Vault now because they got rid of the only thing I liked about it, which was its flinch ability.

It's good in PVE too especially with small arms on. I'd grab it regardless. It's one of the best guns in the game.

Just to give everyone an update. I bought both the Titan chest and Midas and have been very happy with both. I can see now why the Midas is so revered as an all around gun. It versatility is immediately evident. Is it the best in PvE? Probably not. But it's no slouch either. It's versatility makes it worth it very much. Just seems like a very solid weapon and I haven't even unlocked the perks yet. I'm sure the fun factor isn't the highest since it doesn't have any really special "fun" perks. But 3rd eye and added agility are just so solid for the way I play. I recommend anyone else debating like I was so take the risk and purchase it. Thanks again to everyone and their opinions. I appreciate it.

The reason it's good is becaaue it can be used in nearly every situation, no it's not the DPS monster that was Ghally but it's versatile. My advice would be to buy it, unless you have some other really nice primarys then save the coins for RoI.

A darn good scout rifle. A beast in this week's CoE. Yeah, there are some really good legendary scout rifles, but Mida still chews up enemies in PvE. The sound effects and the fast accurate hits make for a fun, deadly gun. Worth getting. You may find yourself using it an awful lot.

Yes it's great if you feel over whelmed because you can get out quick. It's the exotic I use in pve

IMO, I love it! Even w/out the high caliber. Its still a great gun!! Both PvE & PVP.

There are better options for an exotic slot in Y2. Mida was great in Y1, especially when running the lanterns in CE.

In my opinion its great. The nerf took it down a peg but still totally viable in every event/ game type. Iv been using it pretty much as my only main weapon on my hunter since the beginning of The Dark Below.

Now that I think about it, I've barely ever used the MIDA for pve. It's not something I'd waste the exotic slot on pve. Juju and Zhallo would be better choices in that regard. Otherwise, Hung Jury and Treads Upon Stars are fantastic legendary scouts for pve.

They could one shot the ads but normally it really struggles on the damage side. That said you might want to buy it anyway in case you so any pvp. It's a good weapon for long maps.

Scout rifles are very good in PvE, if you have the one that dead orbit sold a while back it's really good for PvE, if not you can get the treads upon stars and run black spindle

Its a really good gun, love it for PVP. Bad JuJu is a far better choice for PVE though due to the super regen and free reload after a kill. But by it anyway lol
