Not everyone has access to or can afford high speed internet..
Only 39% of Rural America has access to High Speed Internet.
The rest of the world is even further behind.
Bungie is setting themselves up for a Class Action Lawsuit they cannot win if they continue to ban people for simply having bad internet.
Edit: note to all of you kids that cannot seem to understand simple english. Nowhere in my post did I once say that I was planning to sue SUE. so put an end to your trolling..
Also no-one cares about what YOU spend on your internet. What matters is what Bungie is doing to OTHER people that have ALSO PAID FOR THEIR GAMES AND INTERNET SERVICE..
IF YOU WANT A BETTER GAMING EXPERIENCE THEN LEARN ONE THING...
YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY PERSON TO PLAY THIS GAME.. YOU ARE NOT GODKING OF DESTINY OR ANY OTHER GAME...
EDIT #2.. after reading the many replies to this thread I have come to the conclusion that the majority of you believe that every player that ruins the experience of other players should be banned..
Based on that reasoning I will begin to search out the gamertags of each and everyone that posts on these forums begging for nerfs and those of you that demand that other players be banned.. because as you state "players that ruin the experience for others should be banned".. and as each and every one of you come here attempting to ruin the experience of other players you therefore need to be banned.

1 ResponderWhy buy Destiny if your internet package can't support the connection requirements?
-
7 RespostasIt says on the box that a broadband connection is required. Banning red bars is completely within their right to make the game better for people who pay for real internet.
-
1 ResponderI think it's funny that people get mad about it. Talking about crying home to mommy and daddy. "mooooom they keep playing with slower Internet then me, make em stoooooooop!" mom's 3 kids playing mom box in Futurama is a perfect metaphor for this.
-
Was gonna say that this was the dumbest shit that i have ever read on this forum but that would be a lie......
-
So bungie will get sued for banning people with horrible internet what about other games like csgo if u don't meet certain requirement u can't play at all what about the developers of that game?
-
You sound like another 13 year old that has no clue what the EULA actually states, or how a legal process works.
-
15 RespostasYou clearly didn't read the EULA you signed by installing and playing the game. As intellectual property rights owners, they are free under US law to do all those things....and more. Lastly, you aren't the only person playing the game either. Why should everyone else experience----who have also purchased the right to play this game----be damaged by someone who's connection is so poor that they don't take damage. They teleport all over the place. The shoot you trough walls..... Why does YOUR experience take precedence over THEIRS? You are part of a community...and that means that sometimes is just not about you and what you want. There are other people's legitimate needs and wants that need to be taken into consideration as well. Its not THEIR fault that YOU can't afford or don't have access to an internet connection that is adequate for online gaming. That is a personal problem.
-
5 RespostasAhem. EULA states that you cant do a class action lawsuit against activision or bungie as soon as you hit A the first time. It also states that if they deem your internet or connection unstable you can be temporarily banned until you show improvement. It also says we can't say anything about changes made to the game as all we own is the rights to play the game, but they may also take them away for any given reason. Please do read your EULA before talking.
-
Red bars are only banned because Bungie's code favors the bad connection. Bungie is banning people because their devs are garbage, not because of bad internet. Simple solution... green connection is favored. Red bars have a shitty time, but at least they arent banned.
-
Idk... if you have no arms and legs no one's going to let you drive a car no matter how many of them you purchase. This game is non-essential. It's not water or electricity. You can simply buy another game that will function with your internet. This game will malfunction with bad internet.. so either you go or everyone suffers. Until you grow arms and legs please stay off the road you're a menace.
-
I agree, bump.
-
6 RespostasYour so right they don't need to ban the red barring cheaters now that I think of it they need to ip ban them so they cannot play destiny on thier xbox or Playstation anymore till they upgrade thier shitty internet
-
7 RespostasIt's so selfish for someone with terrible internet to insist that they have a "right" to participate in a recreational, nonessential activity just because they WANT to. No one NEEDS to play Crucible. The result of their selfishness is that they ruin the experience of others while having a subpar experience themselves. WHY do you want to play PvP if you're redbar and all of your actions in the game are FAKE because you're out of sync with the other players and/or you may not be taking damage?
-
6 RespostasSo, bungie is trying to make their game better. To do this they may need to keep some players out in order to do so.
-
I live in semi rural Scotland. I get 50mb broadband. But that's not the point. I played a game last might where everyone had a good connection and it was one of the laggiest games I've played, not just one or 2 players lagging but the entire game. Melee's and shots just not registering. I shot then meleed a titan twice before he waited a second then fist of havoc'd me. A friend had been put in the other team and he said it was the same for him. We teamed up after that and other games were OK. But that 1st one was awful.

5 RespostasUhm. South Korea has the best/fastest internet in the world. If I remember right United States is 15th or 16th.... Just another person who really has no clue about the world outside their own door.
-
8 RespostasEditado por Kone19ps: 7/5/2016 4:13:02 AMBuyer beware. You have bad internet you pay the price for playing a p2p game. They are perfectly within their rights to restrict non standard broadband connections. Blame the companies that say they have broadband when they actually don't for misleading you
-
3 RespostasI don't know what about other countries, but the U.S. EULA days that playing destiny requires a broadband connection. In the U.S., as defined by the FCC, broadband means a minimum of 25mbps up, and 3mbps down. Based on that, I'd say they have a good case for banning red bars.
-
9 RespostasEditado por catrodsan: 7/4/2016 10:55:51 AMWell obviously this guy didn't read the EULA.
Oh wait, it's you. The guy who complains about everything. Didn't you swear off the game already?
2 RespostasThe funniest thing about this is Bungie says its "Your ISP provider" that's at fault. Take it from a year one player, "Lag" was unheard of pre-TTK. Bungie changed something when they introduced SBMM/TTK and have shifted the blame to the player base, I don't have any other game I own that is laggy like destiny, not one. So by process of elimination, it would seem Bungie did something that they aren't telling us. Bungie lying or failing to inform the player base, what a shock....
-
30 RespostasSorry man, if someone's internet is shit, then they don't need to play. If my internet was bad, i would find another game. Im not selfish . I dont expect other people to have a shitty game because i dont have fast enough internet. Plain and simple. Why should other plays suffer lag because of me? Or you? Damn that. Man up and except you need to step up your connection, or walk away.
-
A class action lawsuit would be expensive and time consuming. Also highly ironic if most of the prosecution's side can't afford fast Internet but can afford legal fees.
-
Editado por hoorayforkyle: 7/4/2016 10:06:37 PMLol good luck with. This is within the terms of use attachment of the EULA.
TERMINATION/ACCESS RESTRICTION Bungie reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate your access to any or all Bungie Services and the related services or any portion thereof at any time, without notice.
. And destiny doesn't require a super high speed internet. You only need 1 Mbps of upload speed to maintain a decent connection. And considering you played the game this morning, well...
-
I hope they do get sued.
-
bungie is banning people because of their own short comings, they don't have dedicated servers and really could not code a worm game. they would rather take the short road instead of actually putting work in to it. NIPPLES
