The sheer amount of people quitting Heroic Strikes lately is utterly ridiculous! Stop it!
I'm a Beta/Day 1 player. I rarely post on the forums, I mainly just read them. People quitting strikes has always been an issue, but I've never seen it happen so often until recently. Since the April update & the new strikes were introduced, its become downright silly how much people are quitting Heroic Strikes. I rarely get even ONE strike where no one leaves. I have no issues soloing most (if not all) the strikes, but I don't WANT to solo every strike, & I shouldn't HAVE to solo nearly every strike. Some days its making it damn near impossible to keep a Vanguard streak going. I wish there was some kind of light punishment for the constant quitters, or at least timing people out of playing strikes for a certain amount of time before they are able to start again. We're all grinding & all in the same boat & just because you want to play a certain strike for strike specific gear doesn't make you a special little snowflake. Man up/woman up & play the entire strike like us normal, non-selfish, decent human beings.

All they need to do is remove the Heroic Playlist, and put a level 41 standard playlist. Then add the old Weekly Heroic strikes. Here's the twist, every week you are guaranteed to get a strike specific loot. You can still get them on the normal strikes, but the weekly guarantees you one.

I've got an idea for bungie. Bring Y1 strikes forward, add like 5 more, give every strike 2 exclusives, making a huge strike pool full of awesome loot, BUT- For those who want a specific exclusive, a heroic difficulty is added to each strike, but there is an ever so slightly lower drop rate that the random heroics as an incentive for following through weekly heroics.

Ikr its a shame. I tried the other day, found psion flayers and im looking for unique cloak drops, but the other 2 left. Nowadays i just do heroic stikes only when my buddy is on. That way i know atleast 1 person will stay no matter what xD

Im having more of an issue with people being unhelpful. I'd prefer people quit than just sit there.

It's because of Bungie's flawed Strike rotation and piss poor RNG for Strike exclusives. Granted they [i]tried[/i] to fix this by offering exclusives as higher Light drops but, the fact remains, RNG is and always has been piss poor. The same 6 or so Strikes rotate on a playlist [b][i][u]but[/u][/i][/b] the sheer number of times the same Strike you don't want coming up is staggering. I stick around for every Strike but even I get tired of running Flayers or Omnigul 4 times in a row when what I want is God-damned Taken Archon Priest. I can count on one damned hand the number of times I've seen the Archon Priest, let alone the Taken version. The RNG for Strikes is stupid considering the small pool of Strikes we have available for Heroic playlists. We need an [i]actual[/i] rotation of Strikes or even a voting system for Strikes.

When you get undying mind 4 times in a row you just want to quit. If they add phpgoth, nexus, and sepiks then I'll probably consider not quitting

Unfortunately man when you play with randoms you run the risk that anything can happen, even people leaving strikes. If your on ps4 and need someone to run strikes please add me or if not just try to find people adamant like you wanting to do strikes.

AFKs are a bigger problem. The issue is that a lot people are looking for strike items to level up. Droprates are crap too

Shit sucks move on. They have the option to return to orbit for a reason, deal with it. Just be happy they're leaving instead of AFK'en.

I don't think there should be a penalty but they need to rethink the playlist. Every time I load up I get the Darkblade Strike or Omnigul. It's like I get the same 2-3 and it's worse because if one person leaves the fire team then it's like it resets. My experience is DarkBlade, Twin Cabal, Omnigul (a player leaves) then it's Omnigul (a player leaves), back to DarkBlade, etc etc. So now I tend to leave more than I ever did before. I want to not only play the new strike (I need that Hood) but I want a variety of all. I don't know how tough it would be to change the playlist but maybe gives us 3 choices and then we decide as a group. BattleBorn did this in the beta. It was 2 story mission and then the 3rd option was "random". Maybe something like that could work.

Then make bungie have the damned archon priest strike show up ALOT MORE OFTEN and stop shoving omnigul, the shield brothers and crap strikes like that down our throats

Many people I play with are getting disconnects the last couple of weeks, maybe this is the reason? Lighthouse? Nope

5 RespostasTotally agree with you, there needs to be a penalty, you voluntarily leave then you have Vangaurd and faction rep taken away from you. Your AFK for a period of time, you are sent to orbit and someone comes in to replace you. I lost count since the update how many strikes this happens in. When your high light level, the strike specific loot drops higher too. Plus the longer your in it the better chance that loot drops. I got 2 x 335 Treads in 15 strikes and two 335 class itens, 2 x 335 darkblade helmets and a 335 darkblade spite. Plus I think I leveled up in vanguard and faction 3 times that first week. Why not stay in the playlist?????

26 RespostasI'll be honest I quit strikes at the beginning but only thing I want is the cloak of taniks, I've legit killed him 116+ times and that's not an exaggeration. The rest of the cloaks don't interest me and I have put more hours into getting it than anything else. Once it drops I'll be more than happy to stay throughout all strikes but till then I'm going to have to keep killing taniks.

Take a fireteam of 3 in. Problem solved. Otherwise, you have no idea if the guy who just quit got Omnigul 4 out of 5 times, like what happened to me the other day. Damn right I quit. The problem is with the playlist "randomizer" first and foremost.
