Now, obviously I'm aware of genetic incest and how that is very likely to create serious birth defects. I'm not really talking about that here. I want to go under the assumption that if two people are engaged in incestual love that they're also using proper protection to prevent the possibility of birth defects. Now, I honestly don't see the issue with incest under that context. What's the problem? If a brother and sister who are old even to legally engage in sexual contact want to pleasure each other why should they not be permitted? Who are they harming!? Arguably nobody. Both parties are consenting. The government and society as whole should have no authority over two contending adults and what they do with their bodies. Now, maybe you personal have an aversion to the idea of incest because reasons. Maybe you think about family and think "eww I don't think of them in that way." Yeah. I totally agree with that concept. I also don't think of my direct family in that way at all. However, this isn't about how we feel personally. We are in control of our actions and we can make the decision to say "no I really don't want to have a sexual relationship with my sister." That's cool and that's great but some people do and I don't think society should punish those who do criminally. If both parties are of legal age, don't reproduce and both are consenting they should have a right to do what they please with their bodies.
