I'll be honest, I really hate fusion rifles. They've been terribly unreliable for me in any situation, so I never use them.
That being said, I had a 310 telesto drop for me during IB this week, and I was having horrible luck getting my special weapon kills part of the bounties done (mostly because I'm bad with snipers/shotguns in pvp and have never had a decent sidearm drop so I never bother with them) and I decided to give it a whirl. I have to say, telesto has renewed my hope for using fusion rifles elsewhere. Helped me get those special kills done in no time.
Also, there is nothing quite as satisfying as shooting someone with it, getting killed by them, and while my respawn timer counts down watching them run away a few steps only to vaporize while granting me a post-mortem thanks to the delayed effect from telesto's perk.

You can use Telesto in a complete different way than other fusion rifles. As a 'preventive trap machine': approaching a corner, something coming close on the radar: stick those little purple bolts to the wall, swith to primary: ennemy comes down the corner, purple explosions, one primary shot: down!! It's really good that way to cover your retreat if you pushed too far from your team.

Now that I have a nicely-leveled warlock, I'm going to rank up the gunsmith until I get susanoo and run that for a while. Even if those are the only 2 I end up using regularly, it'll be nice to have a special to use in crucible that I can be decent with.

Thanks. It's definitely a learning curve, but figuring out their strengths and weaknesses is part of the fun.

Telesto is good at salvage ,control and rift as you can fire at at the defense and really hurt a few with the explosion.
