Should loadouts be locked in elimination?
Personally I think that once you're match made that's it, no swapping weapons during the game kinda like the trials boons. Once you've started there's no changing weapons until the end of the game.
This would [b][i][u]ONLY APPLY IN ELIMINATION[/u][/i][/b], all other game modes would be unaffected.

So what happens if you're against a team and you decide that you need to use a different weapon and play style to beat them, you're kinda screwed. There's no elegant fix to the issue but in my opinion they should just make it so that ammo is removed upon switching weapons, even when you're dead.
