scary situations you've been in
share the scariest stories/moments/situations you've been in. could be anything you remember from your childhood, or something that maybe happened recently. anything that made your heart beat faster, really. i need some good stories 8)
[spoiler]for me it was last summer. i moved to a new place and decided to explore it. i like to hike and go for walks in the forests, mountains and such, and decided to find some places here where i could do that. SO, as i'm walking up this hill, i find a small path that leads into the woods. now i know it sounds stupid, but where i live it's totally normal with woods and mountains everywhere. i decide to follow the path and as i'm walking i'm listening to music. 5 minutes into the woods i find a small booth, and as i'm about to pass the booth i hear someone breathing heavily (?). i see a man in briefs (no kidding) and i don't know what he was doing outside wearing [i]that[/i].. maybe he was jogging or something cuz it was summer, but he stood kinda bent and had his hands on his knees. note that he heard i was approaching him because the path was made out of small rocks, but he didn't move or turn around (he stood with his face away from me) and continued making weird noises (real loud). i got so scared i started running for MY LIFE. i was literally like 1,5 metres away from him. after that, my so-called "dora the explorer" disappeared into the sunset. I almost tripped and shouted faaaa The guy that ran past me obviously didn't hear me right, and he ran back towards me. I shouted "I know the number for the police!" And he decided to leave me alone. It was only afterwards I noticed he was in a orange prison jumpsuit... Hate to think what would have happened if I didn't know the police phone number

1 ResponderWhen I was younger these guys who were quite a bit older thought they'd show off a knife one of them stole. Pretending, they pinned me on my back and acted as if they were going to cut me until I kicked the one holding the knife in the face out of fear. During the pause I freed myself and stood up. Then the knife wielder chased me while threatening to stab me.

6 RespostasA man assaulted a store in Queens, New York, in front of me. He looked like that chubby guy from Lost. He went to the vegetable area and grabbed a lot of cabbages. The man proceeded to run away from the scene, running over an elderly woman in the process. As he made it to the door, he was stopped by a security guard. But little did the guard know that the man had a secret weapon...[spoiler]his boob.[/spoiler] The thief whacked the guard with the deadly weapon, giving him enough time to run away, run over another elderly woman, and steal another cabbage. The last that I saw of the man was him running into a dark alley, followed by another fat man. [spoiler]May God help us all.[/spoiler]

1 ResponderRan out of .50 on a convoy security detail. Comms weren't working -or so I thought. I went to kick the TC in the back of their ACH and I got nothing but air. Dude was huddled up, bent down and screaming. Convoy kept going and my vehicle stopped. WTF? I see my driver get out, under fire, smacked the TC in the face or helmet, they switch seats. My buddy is now feeding me a fresh belt and the scared little shitbag starts driving and I resume shooting within my sector of fire. No idea if I hit anything. We caught up to the rest of the convoy pretty quick. One of our LTs was with us on the convoy and at the next checkpoint, he switched trucks with us and put shitbag in the non-security vehicle LT dismounted from. Shitbag never left the gate again.

28 RespostasScariest thing was probably when my ex girlfriend tried to kill herself and I had to go to her house and held her not knowing if she was going to die. She drank almost a full cup of bleach and I got to her before she could finish it and she tried fighting me to get the rest of it. Some fûcked up shit was wrong with her head that night cause when I was holding her she was seeing shit and saying there were voices in her head. Guess she was on off topic and took the drink bleach thing quite literally. No but it was really scary and is something I'll never forget

1 ResponderI've had asthma since I was born, but it isn't as bad now. When I was young, it was severe. One Fall I was with pneumonia, the swine flu(idk if that is how it's spelled), and an asthma attack all at once. I could breath out, but I couldn't breath in. So I was basically there exhaling CO2, but not being able to take in oxygen. I was rushed to the hospital, and when I was hooked up to the IV, I overheard the doctors saying that I was 6 minutes away from dying. I didn't realize it at the moment, but my life was in serious danger. I'm glad to be alive.

14 RespostasI stepped on an ied in Afghanistan, the guy that planted it didn't set it up right, I heard the click from the pressure plate and knew I was dead. He didn't line up the circuit connection right and it never fired off. Ended up just laughing it off over a bottle of Johnny walker that night, but Jesus I'll never forget that feeling.

2 RespostasIt's a tie between 2 for me. 1. Having my chest jumped on repeatedly when I was 5 years old, rendering me unable to breathe. I still have breathing issues from that. 2. When I had my first migraine. I didn't get the head pain but my vision went blurry and I lost my depth perception. I thought I was going blind and freaked out.

Just a couple, one was being charged by a 400-600 pound bear while hunting (bears turn around from a charge when ran at) and then a migraine where my speech slurred and my brain hardly worked

He threatened to kill her unless he was allowed to take her home (he was not related to her in any way). Our school went into lockdown. [b]Another one[/b] This was in the same year as the first story. There was a school shooting at a highschool near my elementary. We heard rumors that the shooter was coming to our school.
