Plain and simple, it's dead. There's literally nothing to do. This time last year was totally different. We were in the midst of running through the dark below and it's freshly released hard mode raid. This year there is nothing. Playing casually for a little over a month got me some challenge modes done, plenty of useful and useless gear, most of the exotics and light levels on three characters sufficient enough to do all endgame content. Crucible, despite its changes is still only fun in small doses, the raid is just meh, and story missions and strikes have absolutely no replay value at all. Friends are the only reason to play, or to help others, and that's starting to be lackluster as hell. I thought for sure that completely staying off the game for 6 months or so would put me far enough behind to actually be able to play through the new expansion and events and enjoy the experience again. It seems I was wrong. This game has turned into a "cash out" for bungie and activision it seems. The only real support they offer up for new content is new emotes and other bullshit for them to sell to make some cash. It seems to have fallen into the realm of Call of Duty, where they put out an expansion and all that really happens is a rebalancing of the meta to change up crucible. The raids and other shit is just there to open an opportunity to get the weapons and such needed for said meta. So it's basically an evolving CoD game now. Pathetic. Where is this grand adventure? This [i]legendary[/i] storyline? I mean really, the ingredients list on a shampoo bottle has more of a plot than this mess. So just as I figured when I took a hiatus back in July 2015, this game was literally done and dead after the poor excuse of an expansion known as House of Wolves. **For those of you who seem to think this post is wrong or a repetition of the small e thing others have said, how could you possibly think for a moment that I was intending to get the blessing of regular forum members? I'm not looking for the users opinions, rather, I'd like to just put something out there for the developers to read and interpret as honest feedback.**
